Job Description

Role - Data Analyst


Location - Mumbai

Overview:

Unico Connect is a forward-thinking technology company dedicated to pushing the


boundaries of what's possible in the digital world. We are seeking a highly motivated and
skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient
with Power BI, possess solid experience with databases, and have a strong background in
Google Analytics. The role also requires defining event tracking in Google Analytics, exposure
to Google Tag Manager, and exceptional strategic skills. As a Data Analyst, you will play a
key role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization by analyzing data sets,
generating visualization, valuable insights, and reports. You will work closely with various
teams to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that can improve business processes and
enhance overall performance.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Insights: Leverage your expertise in data analysis, including the use
of Power BI, to mine and analyze data from our current application. Identify trends,
patterns, and user behavior to generate valuable insights that will drive strategic
decisions and enhance the user experience.

2. Architectural Recommendations: Collaborate with the development team to


recommend and implement architectural modifications that improve the collection and
storage of data from various sources within the application. Ensure data integrity and
accessibility for analysis purposes.

3. App Visualization Enhancements: Enhance the visualization of application data by


creating compelling and intuitive data visualizations using Power BI. Develop interactive
dashboards and reports that provide clear and actionable information to stakeholders.

4. Google Analytics & Event Tracking: Work closely with product managers and
developers to define relevant application events and data tracking requirements in
Google Analytics. Ensure the proper implementation of event tracking and utilize Google
Tag Manager for effective data capture.

5. Dashboard Views: Design and set up Power BI dashboard views that showcase usage
metrics and behavioral data. These dashboards will provide real-time insights into
application performance and user engagement.

6. Ad Hoc Reporting: Respond to ad hoc data requests from various departments


promptly. Generate reports and conduct analysis to address specific business questions
and challenges.

7. Report Generation: Develop and deliver comprehensive reports and visualizations to


communicate analytical findings to stakeholders. These reports will be used to guide
strategic planning, performance evaluation, and process improvement.

8. Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality assurance measures to ensure


accurate and reliable data analysis and reporting.

9. Technology and Tools: Stay up-to-date with the latest data analytics tools and
technologies, including Power BI and Google Analytics. Leverage your expertise to
continuously improve data analytics capabilities within the team.
10. Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product
managers, developers, and marketing, to provide data-driven insights and support
decision-making processes.

11. Data Modeling: Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to create
predictive and prescriptive models. These models will help forecast future trends,
optimize resources, and identify potential risks.

12. Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members and other
stakeholders on data analysis techniques and tools.

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or in a similar role.


2. Power BI Proficiency: Strong experience with Power BI for data visualization and
reporting.
3. Database Experience: Solid background in database management and analysis.
4. Google Analytics Expertise: Proven ability to implement and analyze Google
Analytics data.
5. Event Tracking & GTM Knowledge: Experience in defining event tracking within
Google Analytics and exposure to Google Tag Manager.
6. Strategic Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking and the ability to leverage data to drive
business decisions.
7. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
8. Familiarity with databases and data warehousing concepts.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex, unstructured data sets.
11. Effective communication and presentation skills to convey technical findings to non-
technical stakeholders.
12. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
13. Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects and
deadlines.
