Imperative verbs and prepositions
Imperative verbs come at the start of an instruction. They tell you what to do.
Example: Put the sand into a cup. Add some rice to the same cup.
Put and Add are both imperative verbs.
Prepositions tell you about the position of objects in a sentence.
Example: We put sand and rice into the cup. We put the cup on the table.
into and on are both prepositions.
Highlight the imperative verbs below in one colour.
