Prize Money – Rs. 50,000/-

Note: A player can receive only one prize; only the higher prize amount will be considered. If a
player places in both the open category and their respective age group, they will be awarded
with the higher prize amount. In case of equal prize amounts, the player will be considered for
the open category only.

Other Regulations

❖ Boarding & Lodging: Players are responsible for their own arrangements.
❖ ACA Player Registration: Registration is applicable as per current rules and regulations.
❖ Default Time: Players must be at the boards within 15 minutes of the round start.
❖ Rules: FIDE rules in force shall apply.
❖ System of Play: The tournament will follow an Eight Rounds Swiss System.
❖ Time Control: 30 minutes each plus a 10-seconds increment from move one.
❖ Tie-break: Buchholz Cut 1, Buchholz, Sonneborn Berger, direct encounter, number of wins (including
forfeits), and number of wins with Black. Prizes will not be shared in case of a tie.
❖ Chess Clocks: Players should bring their own chess clocks.
❖ Appeals Committee: An appeals Committee will be formed during the Technical Meeting; their decision
is final.
❖ Protest: Protests the Chief Arbiter's decisions must be submitted in writing with a fee of Rs. 500/- within
15 minutes of the incident. The protest fee is refundable if the protest is upheld.
❖ Withdrawals: Players may withdraw from the tournament at any stage by informing the Chief Arbiter
in writing.
❖ Rights of Admission: ACA/AVCA/Sri Chess Academy reserve the right of admission to the venue.

Registration & Last Date
All players must register at apchess.org. No manual entries will be accepted. Payment of the fee
does not confirm registration. The last date for registration without late fee on 16/12/2024 and with late fee
fee Rs.200/- upto 19/12/2024.
Refund of Entry Fee: Entry fees are non-refundable or transferable. If a fee is paid twice, it will
be refunded upon submission of proof. Uploading Payment Proof: Players must attach payment proof
when registering on the website.
Prize Money Transfer: Prize money will be transferred to the phone number provided on apchess.org on
the same day as the prize distribution.
Other Important Aspects: Until their entry is confirmed, players can edit and attach documents in the
tournament form. Players should check comments against their names for any issues.
