Building a Better Tomorrow: Cultivating a Positive Mindset for Waste

Reduction
Prepared by: Rizalyn B. Cudera (GE 002 Subject Teacher)
Introduction:
This task is designed to encourage students enrolled in GEE 002 People and
Ecosystem to develop a positive mindset toward reducing waste. It involves
collaborative group work, with each group consisting of 4 to 5 members. Together,
students will document the waste generated and produce a documentary video
highlighting its impact on our ecosystem. The video should comprehensively address
various aspects of waste generation and its connections to key topics such as
ecosystems, pollution, climate change, health hazards, food, agriculture, nutrition,
sustainability, biodiversity, forests, mining, and natural gas. Additionally, students
must propose strategies for waste reduction and evaluate the effectiveness of their
suggested approaches. The documentary video will be posted in their facebook
account for awareness among their friends and family.
To foster a strong sense of responsibility for maintaining a clean and
organized environment, students are expected to take an active role in ensuring the
cleanliness and orderliness of their assigned rooms. This practice not only helps
instill discipline and accountability but also creates a healthier and more pleasant
living and learning space for everyone. By consistently upholding these standards,
students contribute to a culture of respect and shared responsibility within the
community.
