Ms.Maheswari:

The Edge of Knowing

A question stirs, a quiet flame,
It calls us forth, it shapes the game.
Through forests deep, past skies unknown,
Curiosity carves paths of its own.

To leap, to trust, to face the fall,

Risk whispers: "Answer courage's call."
For only those who dare the tide
Unlock the truths where dreams reside.

Good morning, everyone.

Curiosity and risk-taking are the keys to growth and discovery. Today, we’ll explore why it’s
important to ask questions, step out of our comfort zones, and take chances. Sometimes, it’s
the risks we take and the questions we dare to ask that lead us to the greatest opportunities.
Let’s take a moment to think about how we can embrace curiosity and courage in our own
lives.

Extras-rest of the class

Scene: The students are gathered in the back of the school

library, plotting their escape to attend a highly anticipated
convention for technology, gaming, and innovation happening
just a few blocks away. The catch? It’s during school hours, and
they have to be back before the bell rings without anyone
noticing.

Narrator (entering the scene):

In a school full of rules, there’s one group of students who are about to
break all the rules—for the sake of curiosity and a once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity. But can they pull it off without getting caught? This is the
story of the great school convention escape.

Lily (whispering excitedly):

Guys, we have to go to this convention. It's today! They have the latest
tech gadgets, gaming competitions, and we can even meet some cool
influencers. It’s only a few blocks away, and we’ll be back before lunch.
What do you say?

Ben (pumping his fist):

I’m in! This is the kind of risk-taking I’m talking about! We’ll slip out
unnoticed, and no one will ever know we were gone. This is going to be
epic!

Chole (nervously):
Wait, wait, wait. I get it, it sounds awesome, but what if we get caught?
What if Coach McAllister sees us? He’s always watching us like a hawk.

Sara (spreading out a notebook with a detailed plan):

Okay, okay, calm down. Here’s the plan. We slip out after 2nd period,
when everyone’s in class. We exit through the side door, walk down the
alley behind the school, and then—boom!—we’re at the convention. We’ll
be back in time for 5th period, no problem.

Ethan (smirking):

Disguises, people. We need them. I’ve got this covered. A few hats,
sunglasses, maybe a fake mustache, and we’re in and out like secret
agents. No one will even recognize us!

Chloe (grinning confidently):

I’ve got my game face on! If anyone asks, I’ll just say we’re part of a
“special school project.” I’ll even show them my “teacher” look. I’ve got
the authority, trust me.

Lily (leaning in):

I’ll handle the hall monitors. They’ll never stop me. I’ve got a way with
words—just tell them we’re going to a “field trip” or something. They’ll
buy it. Easy.

Ben (dramatically):

And if we do get caught, I’ll make sure we go down with style. I’ll
dramatically declare that we’re “freedom fighters” for knowledge and
innovation! You know, really sell it.

Jason (checking his phone):

Okay, I’ll handle the tech side of things. I’ve already synced our phones
with the school security system. If anyone tries to track us, we can disable
the cameras for a few minutes. Boom, done.
Ethan (raising a hand):

Um, guys, are we really thinking this through? What if Principal Johnson
sees us leave? Or worse—what if the system records us sneaking out? We
could get suspended.

Chloe (bursting into the conversation):

Don’t worry, Ethan. I’ve got backup. I’ll create a distraction in the cafeteria
— I will call my friends to sing, dance, put up a mesmerizing performance.
Everyone will be so distracted, they won’t even notice we’re gone!

Jason (quietly, looking at everyone):

You know… if we don’t make it back in time, we could be in huge trouble.

I’m just saying, we should be extra careful.

Ben (slapping Jason on the back):

Liam, you’re worrying too much. This is going to be the most fun day ever.
Plus, we’re going to be back in time. Trust me.

Sara (checking her watch):

Okay, guys, it’s go time. Everybody knows their role, right? We leave after
2nd period, sneak out the side door, head straight to the convention, and
then come back before the bell rings. We’ve got this.

Coach McAllister (entering unexpectedly):

Hey, what’s going on in here? You guys planning something? A little secret
meeting? I hope it’s about PE. I’d love to hear your thoughts on improving
our school’s fitness level.

Chloe (smoothly, stepping forward):

Oh, Coach, we were just discussing a secret PE workout program we’ve

created. We’ll get back to you with all the details later, don’t worry!

Coach McAllister (laughing loudly):

Well, alright then! Just make sure to stay active, okay? No sitting around
all day! You gotta move those muscles!

Lily (whispering as Coach leaves):

That was way too close. Alright, we’re still on schedule. Everyone, meet at
the side door in 5 minutes.

(The students sneak out of the side door, looking around to make
sure no one is watching. They Pass through the canteen)

(Dance,sing)

Sara:

Thanks friends for helping us

(They walk down the alley, trying to keep low profile. As they near
the convention, they get more excited.)

Jason (checking his phone nervously):

Guys, the cameras are still down. We’re in the clear. We’ll be there in like
two minutes!

Ethan (looking over his shoulder):

I feel like we’re in an action movie right now. We’re doing it, guys! This is
how legends are made!

Chloe (laughing):

Okay, just don’t forget—we need to be back before 5th period or we’ll be
in major trouble. And we still have to get past Principal Johnson.
(They arrive at the convention and split up to enjoy the event.
After about 45 minutes, they realize they need to get back
quickly.)

Lily (looking at her watch):

Alright, we’ve got 20 minutes to get back to school. Let’s go!

Ethan (laughing):

Quick, everyone put on your disguises again. No one can know we’ve
been gone! This is our last chance to make it back without anyone
noticing.

(They rush back to the school, but as they approach the building,
they spot Principal Johnson standing by the entrance.)

Sara (whispering):

Quick! Everyone, make a run for it! Use your disguises!

Jason (walking confidently toward Principal Johnson):

Hey, Principal Johnson, just coming back from the “field trip” I mentioned!
It was super informative! You should consider making it a school-wide
event next year!

Principal Johnson (raising an eyebrow):

Field trip? During school hours? You know that wasn’t approved, right? I
think we need to talk about what you and your friends were really up to.

Lily (nervously):

Uh, well, it was a tech seminar. Really educational! We just wanted to

learn more…

Principal Johnson (sternly):

Skipping class without permission isn’t acceptable, Lily. You’re all getting a
suspension for this. I’ll be calling your parents, and I expect you all to stay
home for the rest of the week.

Sara (shocked):

Wait, a suspension? No, please, Principal, we didn’t mean for this to

happen!

Principal Johnson (firmly):

You’ll have time to think about the consequences of your actions. This
isn’t just a harmless adventure. I’m disappointed.

(The students gather around, looking guilty.)

Ben (whispering to the group):

This went way too far. We’re in huge trouble now.

Ethan (sighing):We should’ve just stayed in class. This is a disaster.

Narrator (as the group heads to the office):

And just like that, their risk-taking adventure turned into a hard lesson.
Sometimes, curiosity doesn’t lead to rewards, but to consequences. This
time, the price of adventure was too high.

End.
