Get ready for starters.

Unit 2: At Home

Objectives:

- Review vocabulary related to household objects

- Review prepositions of place

- Practice asking and answering about location

- Practice listening & spelling

Target Level:

Leveled Pre-A1 Starters

Materials:

- Images/flashcards of common furniture.

- Student notebooks or coursebooks.

Lesson Outline:

1. Greetings and Warm-up

2. Review

- Review some words/phrases about location

- Review vocabulary about household objects that students have learned

3. Word

- Ask students to do Task 1

- Ask students to answer and spell the words individually

4. Speaking

- Project a picture on the screen and some sample questions that the students have learned, ask students to move
around the class and practice asking their classmates

- Ask some pairs of students to perform asking and answering in front of the class

5. Reading

- Ask students to do Task 2, observe the picture and read the statement then answer Yes (if true) or No (if false)

- Ask a student to read the statement, that student then chooses another student to give the answer

- Give each student an answer sheet with statements describing the picture, students read then tick (if true) or cross (if
false)

- Ask a student to read the statement, that student then chooses another student to give the answer

6. Listening

- Introduce the listening and coloring activity to the students


- Provide some pre-listening tips

- Play the audio for students to listen and color

8. Vocabulary Test

- In the answer sheet provided by the teacher, there is a list of vocabulary words that students have learned, students
must look at the picture and write the corresponding word
