2.2. Fixed issues

2.2.1. Addition of function/ Change of specifications
1. Support TPM(Trusted Platform Module) : LK-115
2. Other User’s IC-card can log in while log in by current user.
3. CSRC Connection can be registered by Web Browser.
4. It can be entered by Keyboard for Remote Panel.
5. Support Single Sign-On for OpenAPI.
6. Paper will not be fed when there is a paper size mismatch between the one set on the panel and the actual one of main
scan direction (CD) on the manual bypass tray.
7. Change of the error message screen which appears when there is a size mismatch between a print job and actual paper.
8. In accordance with marketing area, the setting of auto media size detection of the manual bypass tray is set to Metric / Inch
size only. By the following Engine firmware Dip switch, it can be changed to detect Metric and Inch mixed sizes as same as
the current model.

40. Regarding the following 4 items, the specifications have been changed and the operability have been improved for
improving Controller Jam.
Please refer TAD1400013 for details.
- A countermeasure for the jam that occurs when there is a size mismatch between the actual paper on the manual
bypass tray and the paper size setting.
- Change of the error message screen which appears when there is a size mismatch between a print job and actual
paper.
- Change of auto size detection of the manual bypass tray.
- Forced paper feeding without jam when there is a paper size mismatch with manual bypass tray.

2.2.2. The following issues are solved in this firmware.

1. The returned value of OpenAPI Message is "True"/"False" (The initial character is upper case character).
2. If Paper is set on bypass tray by Quick Copy screen, the paper selection is not displayed correctly.
3. If the following Group destination is selected, C-E301 (detail codes:0xC08D) occurs and MFP hangs up.
- Group destination name is registered by over 15 two-byte characters.
4. Even if the address for I-FAX is slected by LDAP Search, the address is recognized as the address for E-mail.
5. When receiving FAX job, C-FA14 (detail codes:0x910C) may occur.
6. On the MFP with IC-414(Fiery) is installed, the job with Print without Authentication is canceled.
7. If the Program list for FAX/Scan is printed out, the settings of the list is different.
8. C-E301/C-E304/C-4091 occurs and MFP hungs up when MFP is rebooted automatically.
9. It is not changed to Copy screen even if push hard key for copy function and copy key in the panel.
10. The received FAX document may not be printed out.
11. The job is not displayed on ID & Print Box.
12. MFP panel may hang up when Start key is pressed if a Vendor or Key Counter device is installed on the MFP.
13. MFP does not enter Sleep Mode even if the Power Key is pressed.
14. When printing the specific data from Illustrator, PS error occurs.
15. The thumbnail image in Secure Print User Box is not displayed.
16. When the document saved in User Box is printed, the paper tray select button is not displayed if No matching paper warning
occurs.
17. When registering the quick setting key in the main screen in the copy mode, the name of the key may get garbled.

18. If printing from DocuWorks Viewer Light by using PCL driver, PCL XL Error occurs from the second page.
19. The Group destination is not imported even if the exported Address data in USB memory is imported.
20. When perform FAX sending by Direct Input, it is able to send to the same address.
21. The following symptoms occur if the custom size original is copied with 2-Sided.

- The image on back side is shifted to Main Scanning.
- The black line (image of Non-Image Area) is printed.
22. If the large TIFF file is sent by using Scan to SMB, memory overflow does not occur and all page is not sent.
In this firmware, if the large TIFF file is sent by using Scan to SMB, memory overflow occurs.
23. When using Fax Forwording function, the I-FAX job may not be forwarded if I-FAX job is received while the MFP is in sleep
mode.
24. When the address for FAX is entered from PageScope Web Connection, "Including invalid character." is displayed.
It is changed to characters (Kana etc.) that can not used as the Sort Character can not registered when Address Book is
registered using the followings.
- Address Book is imported from PageScope Web Connection.
- Data is imported from PageScope Data Administrator.
25. If printing the PDF file from USB memory, the following symptoms occur.
- The position of characters are not printed correctly.
- The characters overlap.
26. If the Group destination of the Address Book is touched, Panel lock may occur.
27. When printing the specific PDF file using PS Driver, the characters are garbled.
28. When printing the specific PDF file by direct print, the characters are garbled.
29. If Card-less setting for CU-1 is ON, the communication error occurs.
30. When the scanned PDF file is sent by using PC-FAX sending, the faulty image occurs at the receiver.
31. When printing to output tray 1 and tray 3 continuously, C-E301 may occur.
32. IC Card Authentication error occurs if "User Name only" is selected by Login setting for LDAP Authentication.
33. If the photo document is scanned with 2-Sided from DF-701, Moire may occur on the reverse side.
The smoothing processing is added.
If the photo document is scanned by 400dpi/600dpi, this issue is improved.
34. On the MFP with FK-511 is installed, loud electronic sound may sound (bleep) when the main power switch is turned ON
etc.
35. C-E002 may occur if "Yes" is selected in Job Log Settings.
36. When the G3 FAX Job is forwarded by SMB, the job may remain forwarding on MFP.
37. When the scanned PDF file is sent by using PC-FAX sending, the faulty image occurs at the receiver.
38. In "Image Repeat>2 Repeat", "Repeat Interval" is set as ON(125.0mm). (Corrected to OFF.)
39. When using AU-201, C-E301 occurs if log in by using the specific password.
40. When the staple of FS-534 is unset by Problem Unit Isolation set, "Now printing" continues to be displayed if preforming the
copy job.
41. J72-17 (FS transport section JAM) has been modified for FS-534.
42. When the document saved in User Box is printed from PSWC, all job is counted as Color job.
43. If Control text is registered by over 8 characters on OpenAPI application, the character string is cut off.
44. The OpenAPI application button Name for MyPanel is separated into two lines in External application screen.
45. "Check mark" button and "Cross mark" button on Authentication application are cut off.
46. When "Bitmap with Message" screen is displayed, Image screen is not displayed correctly.
47. An asterisk is displayed on the string control of Custom Setting screen for Scan application.
48. "Text" control on OpenAPI application is broken in the middle and displayed.
49. If Link button on Authentication application is pushed twice, error message is displayed.
50. When MFP is connected with authentication application, the amount of credit shortage warning screen is displayed even if
the credit is charged from the application after the amount of credit shortage is occurred.
51. Simplify the register Biometric Authentication information screen and correct the wrong English wordings.
- "Register by Register Key" is added in the guaide message.
- The unnecessary button is deleted after the Biometric Authentication information is registered and change to "OK" from
"Close".
- Change to "Authentication Test" from "Login Test".
52. If the specific html file is saved in IWS Server by using IWS Package tool and access it by Web browser, C-E101 occurs.
53. CSRC communication error occurs if using GPRS Modem.
If using PHS and other protocol, CSRC communication error does not occur.
54. If OpenAPIExt PullPrint application is FV1.1, Color output button is displayed.
55. When the character string select Control is used by Scan-D application, the scroll of between pages does not work correctly.

57. When printing the specific file by direct print, the unnecessary line is printed.
58. When using Enhanced Server authentication, C-E301/302 ocuurs if log in from PSBO.
59. A barcode is not printed correctly by MFP in which LK-106 is installed.
60. Trouble Code C-FA14 (0x8E15) appears during printing from IC-414 and scanning at the same time.
61. The job can not be printed from the Host because MFP does not reply to PJL ECHO command.

65. When "Transparency" is selected in the "Paper Type" setting and setting a transparent sheet in the short edge feed
direction on the bypass tray, the following symptoms occur.
- Unable to show the error message when OHP sheet is set in short edge feed direction.
- Reject the demand by touching Scan, Fax, Copy etc key on main menu.
66. Scan to SMB fails due to the login error if the access permission of shared folder is set as local user account who is not the
domain user account on the domain environment.

69. When printing a job from A/S400 by using RAW Port, the last page is printed after network timeout.
70. When printing from SAP system, PS error may occur.
71. When printing from KMPU V 1.8/ HPUX 11.x, MFP may hang up.
72. The part of Ten-Key pad on MFP Panel is cut off.
73. The EAN-13 barcode is not printed correctly by MFP in which LK-106 is installed.
74. PC-FAX can not be sent from AS/400.
75. If the original orientation is changed by the separate scan and performing Scan sending, MFP hangs up.
76. When printing the specific PDF file from PS driver, it takes a long time to print out.
77. When Error occurs on OpenAPI application, Error message disappears immediately.
78. You can log in by IC card while Login error occurs.
79. If you execute Initialization (Network Setting Data) on the Service Mode when External Server Authentication is set as ON,
you cannot login to MFP with External Server Authentication due to the error (Authentication Fail) even if you reset the
network settings.
80. When printing the specific MS-PowerPoint file using PCL Driver with the following settings, the gradation of the background
is not printed correctly.
- "Booklet" or "2 in 1"
81. Correct the following wrong Chinese wording.

82. When printing the specific PDF file from Linux, the error page is printed out.
83. When printing a job from A/S400, a barcode is not printed correctly.
84. When printing a file from SAP, a barcode is not printed correctly by MFP in which LK-106 is installed.
85. Size of scan file as PDF/Compact PDF is different from a designated size. E.g.: A4 209.9 x 296.7mm
Note: A size of Foolscap ("8 1/2 X 13 1/2" or "8 1/4 X 13") is not fixed yet.
86. When printing the specific PDF file by direct print, PS error occurs and the job is not printed out.
87. When printing from PCL driver, part of a barcode is not printed correctly.
88. When the program of Address Book for SMB is registered from PSWC, the following symptom occurs.

89. Unable to print Banner Printing by PS driver without UK-204 displaying "insufficient memory"/"Memory Overflow".

99. The characters are garbled in Preview/Specify by Input screen of User Box.
100. The following message is added in the scan setting when the FAX Server connection application is registered from PSWC.
"When it is transferred from the Server, File type is selected."
101. If No matching paper warning occurs by PC print, the copy job is performed but No matching paper warning is displayed
again if you load the paper on Bypass Tray and press the Start key.
102. When performing ID&Print, the Banner printing button is displayed although Banner printing can not be used.
103. The characters are entered in Adress Input Screen of Web Browser even if the External Keyboard is not typed.
104. The warning screen for the expired certificate is not displayed correctly by using Scan to IWS.
105. The counter for other users can not be reset from PSWC.
106. If the External Keyboard is typed on the enlarge Display Mode, "Unable to enter Low Power mode" screen is reset.
107. Correct the wrong wordings for each language.
108. Function parameters for Fax Line 3 and Line 4 can not set through addressing.
109. When sending the file including many macro data to MFP several times, the data light keeps flashing.

4. How to install
4.1. How to install program
Use USB memory to install. For the details, see the Service Manual.
Conditions for USB memory which can be used for updating the firmware are as follows:
- Securities such as data encryption and password lock shall be released, or the security function shall be turned Off.
- Memory with 1 GB to 2 GB are recommended (One with 4 GB or more may not operate)
- Compatible with USB Version 1.0/2.0 interface
- Formatted with FAT32 type
- A USB flash memory that appears as multiple drives on a computer cannot be used.

4.2. How to upgrade/downgrade firmware

[Definition of terms]
Function Version 3: Firmware Version ver.Gxx-60 and earlier.
Function Version 3 MR (Maintenance Release) Version: Firmware for Function Version 5 Version ver.Gxx-E4 and later.
(There are not enhancement functions of Function Version 5.) "Function
Version3" has equal functions.
Function Version 5: Firmware for Function Version 5 Version ver.Gxx-E4 and later.

[Caution]

Install Font Data for USB using USB memory.

4.8. How to install Loadable Driver

1. Extract the attached exe file and save "xxxxxx.tar" file to root directory of USB memory.
2. Insert the USB memory to USB port of MFP.
3. Turn ON the main switch.
4. Call the Service Mode to the screen.
5. Touch [System 2] -> [Driver Install].
6. Touch [SET] and press "Start" button to start installing the data.
7. Check that data is normally installed from the message that appears on the control panel.
8. Turn OFF/ON the main switch.
9. In the Service Mode> Billing Setting> Management Function Choice, select "Card" or "Body" in "Authentication
Device2" and press "OK" button.
10. Turn ON/OFF the main switch.
