Group assignment on the course Introduction to Management for 2 nd year Accounting & Finance
weekend students.

Guidelines of the assignment:


 Form a group of students not more than 5 and students who are included in the group are required
to make active participation on the group work.
 Evaluation of the group is based on the group's overall coordination, presentation and written
summary.
 Submitting the work of group prior to the exam date may provide an extra advantage.

1. What is control, and why is it important? Describe the three steps in the control process.
2. Explain how organizational and employee performance are measured and describe tools used to
measure organizational performance.
3. What, in your view, constitutes sexual harassment? Describe how companies can minimize sexual
harassment in the workplace.
4. What contemporary organizational designs can managers use? What is a boundary-less and virtual
organization?
5. What is communication and how can a manager ensure proper communication exists in the
organization?
6. What is the main difference between trait and behavioral leadership theories on the one hand, and
contingency theories of leadership on the other?
7. Define leader and leadership? Describe the three major contingency theories of leadership.
8. What is motivation? Compare and contrast early as well as contemporary theories of motivation.
