Dramatics Rules
THIRD BELL
The competition will take place in between 24th to 27th December.
RULES
One person can stay as a member of only one team. Heavy penalties
shall be imposed on both teams if this is violated.
The number of slots will be limited and will be given at the discretion of
the organisers
Teams have to submit a drive link that contains the synopsis of their
play (not more than 100 words) and a prod list (list of production
material and musical instruments brought by the teams), Pre-recorded
music is allowed and should be brought in a pen drive in mp3 format
only and should also be submitted in Google Drive format in the
"Submit Entry" field above by keeping the access Open To All before
10th December 2024. It will not be allowed in any other form.
THIRD BELL
The dimension of the prod should not exceed 10 x 6 ft
The essence of the play should be brought out in Hindi or English or both.
However, short snippets in other regional languages are allowed (max. 30
seconds).
Stage play comprises multiple scenes and may have blackouts.
Backstage voiceovers and narrations are allowed during the performance.
Participants will be provided with a laptop and are expected to appoint
someone to sit and play during the performance. Music may also be
played live.
However, no amplifiers or plug points will be provided for this purpose.
THIRD BELL
Participants will be provided with a light control box, from which the
lighting on the stage can be controlled (teams need to have a CA for this
purpose).
Participants are not allowed to bring any external light.
Teams are STRICTLY prohibited from mentioning their college names during
the performance by any medium. Any team doing so will be awarded a high
penalty.
AAGAAZ
The competition will take place in between 24th to 27th December.
Time Limit:- 8 -10 minutes (including setup and clearance time i.e.
empty stage to empty stage).
Finals:
Teams can perform an extended version of the same play that they
had performed in the eliminations or can perform an entirely new act.
Time Limit:- 15-20 minutes (including setup and clearance time i.e.
empty stage to empty stage).

Any kind of fluids, live animals, flame, heavy objects, or any other
material possibly damaging the stage (any type of colored powder) is
STRICTLY not allowed.
Teams will be heavily penalized if they exceed the time limit.
Plays can be based on any theme but since eliminations are being held
at public venues, inappropriate content, blasphemy, or content
defaming any political party or religious group is STRICTLY prohibited.
Obscenity (at the discretion of judges) is not allowed and may lead to
disqualification.
No electrical appliances (for example, amplifiers) shall be allowed during
the performance, whether inside or outside the circle of performance.
No plug points will be provided for this purpose.
AAGAAZ
You cannot play any recorded music using mobile phones or tapes.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
No extra time for rehearsals will be provided.

The use of light-weighted props is allowed.
Production materials provided: 1 chair and 1 table. Any other
production material has to be brought by the participants themselves,
but the organizers hold the discretion of allowing it on stage.
THE CHOSEN ONE
Any kind of fluid, live animals, flame, heavy/sharp object, or any material
that has the possibility of damaging the stage is not allowed.
Participants can have live music which should be brought in a pen drive
in mp3 format only.
Participants will be provided with a laptop and are expected to appoint
someone to sit and play during the performance

from their respective institutes.

Miming or ventriloquism is STRICTLY not allowed.

passages in other regional languages are allowed (max: 30-45 seconds)
Performance must consist of a single act with no blackouts.
Obscenity (at the discretion of the judges) in any of the stages, of any
kind, is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
Use of pre-recorded music and lights will be allowed ONLY in the final
round and participants need to have CA’s appointed for the same.
Violation of any of the rules will lead to disqualification from
subsequent rounds.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
mime time

pantomime, gibberish*, clowning, juggling in dramatized form, or any
other NON-VERBAL performance.

General Rules
A moderator will be present to control the overall flow of the
performance.
The moderator holds the power to pause or stop the performance
anytime he wishes.
No arguments against the moderator will be entertained. His decision will
be final and binding.
No blackouts are allowed.
