Concrete Repair

Rust Removal:
Cleaning of rust/ scales/corrosion from reinforcement bars using rust remover
1.0 ReArm Rust R of MYK Arment or equivalent. The material to be applied to the Sqm
rusted metal using brush and make leaving to dry for 30 mins. Finally washing
the surface with fresh water as required to the exposed reinforcement etc.

Anti Corrosive treatment to Steel:


Providing & applying inhibition coats/system to exposed reinforcement bars &

3.0 diamater ( into existing concrete substrate for anchoring of new rebars and min Nos
depth 10 times the diameter of rebar or more as per design and fixing with
Polyester resin based material like ArmGrout HF 66 / ArmGrout 66 V having
compressive strength of 60N/mm2. cleaning, cutting, fabricating, chemicals,
tools, etc. complete as directed by EIC. The steel consumption will be paid
additionally as per item no 5.

Epoxy Injection Grouting:


Providing and pressure grouting using low viscous epoxy grout like ArmGrout
4.0 Inject EP LV of MYK Arment having mix density 1040 kg/m3, Compressive kg
Strength (IS 9162)- 70N/mm2,Tensile Strength (IS 9162)- 24N/mm2, Flexural
strength (IS 9162)-55 N/mm2 IN 7 Days. Pressure grouting shall be done at
required pressure etc. shall complete as directed by EIC. Payment shall be made
on actual grout consumed.

Bonding Agent:
Providing and applying one coat of ReArm Bond EBA - two component epoxy
bonding agent on prepared RCC surfaces as per manufacture specification
including prepartaion of surface by chipping and throughly cleaning of surface
5.0 complete whereever required and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge, Sqm
having pull off adhesion (ASTM D 4541 - 09) 1.5 N/mm2 by brush on properly
cleaned dry surface / damp surfce and allowed it to become tacky before
application of repair mortars. Standard
compliance : ASTM C 881 : Type II, Grade 2 Class C
Consumption: Approx 2.6 m2 / Kg.
Product requirements: Pull of Adhesion - >1.5 N / mm2 (concrete failure)
Complies with ASTM D4541-09

Reinstate of concrete upto 5mm with Epoxy Repair Putty


6.0 Providing and applying ReArm Bond 4031 - two component thixotropic Sqm
multipurpose epoxy putty having compressive strength of 50N/mm2 on honey
combs / undulated surface using spatula and finish the surface.
Reinstatement of concrete from 12mm to 50mm with Repair Mortar
(For horizontal & Vertical surface)
7.0 Providind & applying polymer modified mortar in patch of displaced concrete
with ReArm Crete RM Plus - dual shrinkage compensated,
trowelable, fibre reinforced thixotropic repair mortar. having compressive
strength of 45N/mm2 (ASTM C109) & Flexural strength > 9 N/mm2 (ASTM
C293).

Reinstatement of concrete from 5mm to 80mm with Repair Mortar


(For horizontal & Vertical surface)
8.0 Providind & applying polymer modified mortar in patch of displaced concrete
with ReArm Crete RMHS - single component, fibre reinforced, polymer modified
high strength thixotropic repair mortar having compressive strength of
60N/mm2 (BS 6319 - Part 2) & Flexural strength of 9 N/mm2 (BS 6319 - Part 3)
of max of 40mm in one layer. For multi layer application keep hatch mark &
apply one coat of bond coat before application of second layer. Cure the surface
with water for atleast 7 days or use Armix Cure range of curing compound
a) Upto 5 - 40mm Sqm
b) 40mm to 80mm Sqm

Reinstatement and jacketting for RCC members using free flow Microconcrete:-
Providing and laying of ReArm Crete MC (G) - single component shrinkage
9.0 compensated free flow micro-concrete having compressive strength of 65 Cum
N/mm2 (ASTM C 109) in 28 days for jacketing of Columns / beams / foundations
/ retaining walls / slabs. For more than 40mm thickness it is advisable to use well
graded cleaned presoaked 6 to 10 mm down aggregates in the mix. Cure the
surface with water for atleast 7 days or use Armix Cure range of curing
compound after deshuttering.
a) upto 40mm (Without aggregate) Sqm
b) 50-100 mm (with addition of 25% aggregates by weight) Sqm
c) above 100mm (with addition of 50% aggregates by weight) Cum

Structural strengthening of columns/beams / slab by CFRP Wrapping:


Providing & Carrying out Confinement and strengthening of concrete members
using ReArm CF externally bonded CFRP Composite strengthening system using
Carbon fiber wrapping of uni-directional / bidirectional weave having wide range
10.0 of 200 to 600gsm (as per site requirement), Tensile strength of 4000 Mpa and
Modulus of elasticity of 240 Gpa and elongation at Break 1.7 %. System including
surface cleaning, installing one layer of wrapping, one coat solvent free epoxy
primer with FloArm Primer 1260 & two layers of ReArm Wrap Sat - epoxy
saturant etc. all complete. Surface Preparation of RCC MEMBERS to accept
wrapping including removing undulation by grinding and filling blow holes, minor
depression using ReArm Bond 4031 epoxy putty @ 1 kg / sq.mt only and
rounding corners to min radius of 25mm - 50mm as per design so to make
surface ready for accepting composite strengthening system etc. (If any major
repair needed during surface preparation need to be paid seperately as per item
no 10, 11 & 13) Rates are for measurement of Carbon fiber used.
