 INTRODUCTION

Developed using charged electrostatic prone fibers. Tribo-V™ filters offer unmatched perfor-
mance at exceptionally low pressure drops. Electrostatically charged polypropylene fibers are
particularly efficient at sub-micron particles due to their ability to attract charged particles to
oppositely charged fibers.

FEATURES

Achieves F6, F7, F8 to EN779:2002 / MERV 11, MERV 13, MERV 14 to ASHRAE 52.2:2007.

An excellent alternative to coarse panel type pre-filters, achieves higher levels of separation efficiency at similar resistance
levels.
Triboelectric media has the ability to continuously “self-charge” due to fiber friction caused by the air stream.

Ionic disequilibrium generates an electric field further enhancing the fibers ability to attract and hold micro-particles.

Highly customizable to suite most specific requirements.

Extremely low resistance to air-flow minimizes energy costs.

High separation efficiency at sub-micron particles 0.1µm to 1.0 µm.

Mesh supported filter medium enhances filter mechanical strength against turbulent and variable air flow systems.

100% moisture resistant synthetic fibre, will not promote micro growth.

SPECIFICATIONS

Applications Space limited applications where medium to high efficiency filters are required, residential, commercial,
industrial, hospitals and healthcare, airports, schools and universities, train stations, food and beverage,
life sciences, office buildings, laboratories, pharmaceutical, bio-safety labs, museums, shopping centers,
and gas turbine applications.
Efficiency F6 (65%), F7 (85%), F8 (95%) to EN779:2002 | MERV 11, MERV 13, MERV 14, to ASHRAE 52.2:2007.

Nominal Depths 2” and 4” depths.

Frame Type Extruded Clear Anodized Aluminum Frame.

Media Triboelectric filter media.

Supports Metal grid supported filter media (downstream).

Adhesive Solvent based adhesive.

Temperature 75°C maximum in continuous operation.

Flammability Certified to UL 900 Edition 8-2015.

Options Tribo-V™ filters may be supplied with ABS plastic, cardboard, or Galvanized steel frames.
Tribo-V™ filters may be supplied with gaskets upstream or downstream.

Economical change point is recommended at 0.8” W.C. (200 Pascals).

Actual dimensions [ width x height ] are 5/8” smaller than nominal size unless otherwise requested.

Width and height dimensions are interchangeable, filters may be installed with the pleats aligned vertically (recommended) or
horizontally.

Tribo-V™ filters can be operated to a maximum face velocity of 625 FPM.

Rated air flows are recorded at Standardized Conditions: 20 °C temperature and an absolute pressure of 101.325 kPa.
