Safety instructions
Danger from electricity
This device uses a dangerous electrical voltage. Do not use it when the mains cable is defective of if the
device has other visible damage. Never open the casing, leave this to repairs specialists. Do not suck
up red hot ashes, glowing cigarette ends or matches, nor sharp objects, glass splinters, water or other
liquids. These can damage the vacuum cleaner and could put you in danger. Red hot ashes, glowing
cigarette ends etc. can set the filter on fire, dampness can lead to short circuits, sharp pointed objects
damage the filter. Do not allow children to play with the plastic foil used as packaging, danger or
suffocation.
Danger!
Never expose the vacuum cleaner to the effects of the weather (rain, etc.). Always unplug the vacuum
cleaner from the mains before cleaning or servicing it(e.g. removing the filter).
Caution!
Hold the cable firmly when rolling it up. The powerful re-wind pull on the cable can result in a “whiplash
effect”.
Important!
Never pull the plug out of the socket by tugging the cable, but always grip the plug body itself. Children
are frequently unaware of the dangers of electrical or underestimate these. For this reason children
should never be allowed to work with electrical devices.
Despite the filter it is possible that a small quantity of dirt is present in the vacuum cleaner exhaust air.
This can be breathed in by children and result in allergic reactions. For this reason do not vacuum clean
if possible, when children are nearby.
Never sit on or place things on the vacuum cleaner body. This vacuum cleaner is suited exclusively
for230 V alternating current, 50 Hz.
Only use the vacuum cleaner when a filter and a motor protection filter have been fitted. The filter must
not be damaged! Use only the filters listed on page10/11
Important!
Before vacuum cleaning a shampooed carpet, wait until it is completely dry. Never leave the vacuum
cleaner close to a heater or an oven.
If there is a change of owner or user do not forget to hand on the operating manual.
In the event of damage to the device or for repairs, contact the customer service dept.: Faults resulting
from improper use, failure to follow the instructions in the operating manual, or from damage caused
or repairs done by third parties are ruled out under the guarantee. This also applies to the wear of
component parts, e.g. the filter.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION MADE EASY
About the packaging
Our packaging is made of materials that are harmless to the environment. They can be recycled and do not
cause pollution. These materials are:
The outer packaging is made of cardboard.
The wrapping and bags are made of polyethylene (PE).
Danger!
Never allow children to play with the plastic foil used as packaging, danger of suffocation.
Important!
If you have the storage space required, we recommend that you keep the packaging at least until the
expiry of the guarantee. If the device must be sent for repairs or to a repair workshop, the original
packaging will ensure that it is adequately protected.
If you wish to dispose of the packaging, please do so in a manner that will not cause damage to the
environment.

ACCESSORIES
Your vacuum cleaner comes equipped with three attachments intended for different applications.
Each individual attachment can either be fitted onto the telescopic tube or directly onto the handle of the
suction hose, as required. The sofa nozzle and the crevice nozzle may be stored on the tool holder of the
telescopic tube.
Floor nozzle
You will probably work most frequently with the floor nozzle. This is suitable for cleaning wide areas. The floor
nozzle is fitted with a practical 3600 joint. This ensures that you can reach easily into any corner.
Smooth floors such as PVC, parquet or tiles are best cleaned and
cared for suing the brush. To do so press the tip switch with the
symbol for smooth floors and the brush will come out.
Cushion nozzle
You can use this to clean the dust from books
or sensitive objects such as picture frames etc.
This nozzle is suitable for the careful cleaning
of upholstered furniture, mattresses, cushions, curtains etc.
Crevice nozzle
This nozzle is suitable for sucking clean the folds in cloth, joint cracks
and corners or niches that cannot be reached with the floor nozzle.

PREVENTION
Switch off the vacuum cleaner immediately if the air intakes, the floor brushes or the telescopes tube becomes
blocked. Before starting the vacuum cleaner up again remove the substance causing the blockage:
4. Do not pull by the mains cable when pulling out the plug.
Danger!
The vacuum cleaner is provided with a plug and an electric cable. If the plug or the cable are damaged
a qualified electrician must be called to repair them.

OPERATION
Vacuum cleaning
Before using the device first roll out a sufficient length of electric flex cable and plug into the mains socket. The
yellow mark on the electric flex cable is the maximum length that must not be exceeded.
To switch on the device press the foot pedal button on the casing with your foot. Pull the device behind
you like a sledge when working with it.
Important!
In a few cases there may be a “whistling” sound
at the start. This is not a fault and the sound
goes away after a time.
Do not suck up toner, plaster, cement, stone dust
or drill dust. The sucking up of these materials
blocks the filter.

HEPA FILTER CLEANING SYSTEM
The cyclone vacuum cleaner function without needing a dust bag. The sucked up dirt is forced into the dust
container by force of the air jet instead. The air is cleaned by a washable permanent filter (HEPA filter) in the
dust container, motor protection filter and an exhaust air filter.
Caution!
Never vacuum clean without a filter or with a damaged filter. The dust that is sucked up would force its
way into the device and damage the motor.
Clean dust / dirt in the dust container by an entirely new method ---it’s simple, clean and so easy.
2. You can pull the dust container together with the cleaning
system out of their anchoring with the aid of the carrier
handle on the dust container. Now lift out the dust container
and carry it to the waste bin.
Important!
When the dust container is full, it is sensible to pull a plastic bag over it and to empty it into this bag.
This prevents the spilling of dust.
5. After this push the HEPA filter cleaning system back into position in the cyclone vacuum cleaner until it
snaps into place. Your cyclone vacuum cleaner is now ready for use again.
Cleaning the HEPA filter
The HEPA filter and the HEPA cover should be cleaned regularly. Cleaning is best done when emptying the
dust container. To do this follow the instructions in the Emptying dust container section.
1. Switch off the vacuum cleaner and disconnect the plug from the mains. To do this always pull on the plug
and not on the cable.
2. You can pull the dust container together with the cleaning system
out of their anchoring with the aid of the carrier handle on the dust
container. Take hold of the carrier handle on the dust container and
pull it upwards. Now pull the dust container out and loosen the HEPA
cover and HEPA filter out of the dust container with the aid of the
- 12 -
lateral unlocking button.
3. Turn the dust container cover carefully until it is released and the
HEPA filter will come away easily
4. Now rinse the HEPA filter under running water and allow it to dry.
Caution!
Only ever clean the filter with clean water and do not use soap or detergent. These would destroy the
filter.
5. Place the HEPA filter back in the HEPA cover (or replace with a new one) and fit it into the dust container.
Then fit the dust container back into position in the cyclone dust container until it snaps into place. Your
cyclone vacuum cleaner is now ready for use again.
Caution!
Only ever clean the filter with clean water and do not use soap or detergent.
These would destroy the filter.
5. Put the exhaust air filter back into place (or replace with a new one) and place in the grill.
6. Close the exhaust air filter grill.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the vacuum cleaner
To clean the device casing switch off and disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
Danger!
Never expose the vacuum cleaner to the effects of the weather (rain, etc.). No parts may be washed in a
dish washer.
The casing, dust collecting chamber and filter chambers of the vacuum cleaner can be wiped with a damp
cloth if required. No liquid must enter the vacuum cleaner in the process. Never use strong cleaning
substance(scouring liquids, thinners), since these will corrode the plastic surface. Only place the plug back in
the mains socket when you have made sure that all the parts are thoroughly dry.
Hair and fluff may gather on the running wheels and on the floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner in time.
You should remove these to ensure that handling of the vacuum cleaner is always easy.
Note!
Lubricating or oiling of the roller bearing is not recommended, because this will cause dirt and fluff to
stick even better.
Danger!
Never try to repair a defective device, or a device you believe to be defective, by yourself. You can put
both yourself and future users in danger. Repairs may only be carried out by authorized specialists.
