Activity 2:
Study and rehearse both melodies below in an octave that is comfortable for you, using movable scale-
degree numbers. (The melodies appear in the Rogers & Ottman textbook required for this course, but they
are also reproduced here in case you do not yet have a copy of the textbook.) Once you feel comfortable
performing both melodies, record a video of yourself conducting while you sing, and upload it to the
“Homework 2” location on Canvas. You may record both melodies in the same video, or you may
record separate videos.

Lastly, record a brief self-reflection on the successes and challenges you encountered while preparing the
melodies below. You may include this self-reflection at the end of your sight-singing video or record a
separate video.

(Be sure to observe the repeat signs and 1st & 2nd endings in your performance!)
