First and foremost, we would like to praise the Almighty God for giving us the
strength and will to accomplish this assignment. Without His Blessing, we
wouldn’t have gone this far.

In performing our assignment, we had to take the help and guideline of

some respected persons, who deserve our greatest gratitude. The completion of
this assignment gives us much pleasure. We would like to show our gratitude to
our lecturer, Dr Ruzanita Binti Mat Rani and Miss Siti Nur Zahrah Binti Amir
Burhanuddin. Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Selangor Kampus Puncak
Alam for giving us a good guideline for assignment throughout numerous

h
consultations. We would also like to expand our deepest gratitude to all those
who have directly and indirectly guided us in writing this assignment.

Many people, especially our classmates and team members, have made
valuable comment suggestions on this proposal which gave us inspiration to
improve our assignment. We thank all the people for their help directly and

1.1 Background of Study

In the development of a rapidly developing country now we are shocked by the

presence of an epidemic that is the coronavirus pandemic. To prevent the
disease, various efforts have been made by the government to curb the disease
from spreading further. Among the measures taken to prevent this disease is to
perform movement control orders. As long as the order takes effect, each
individual must adhere to the prescribed SOPs. To see the level of recipients of
this Standard operating procedure, this study has stated the question of SOP to
all students of UiTM in Puncak Alam Campus so that they can assess whether the
instructions contained in the SOP will assist in the reduction of Covid-19 cases in

h
Malaysia.

The background of our study is to discuss about acceptance toward the

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) during pandemic Covid-19 among all
student UiTM in Puncak Alam Campus. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is
very important to each individual because it can avoid being attacked by Covid-
19 pandemic. With such a measure it can to some extent prevent a person from
being infected with this disease. This study was also conducted to identify the
acceptance and adherence of students to standard operating procedure and
whether they agree with the instructions issued so that all students can practice
them well.

We specifically choose students because it is easy to work with students

and easy for them to answer the questions given. As students they are more
likely to study in large groups such as studying in class or studying in groups.
This study included about 30 students of all student UiTM in Puncak Alam
Campus who volunteered themselves to answer this question in google forms.
This can indicate the level of acceptance of the student towards the instructions
implemented and whether they agree with the things that need to be done in
standard operating procedure during the period of motion control.

1.2 Objective of Study

The objectives of the study include in the research are as follows:

Conto
1. To describe the demographic profile of the respondents.
2. To compare the mean of UITM students’ acceptance towards the
COVID-19 pandemic SOP between gender.
3. To study the difference between the mean of UITM students’ acceptance
towards the COVID-19 pandemic SOP based on their faculty.

2.1 Description of Data

Conto
Research A study on UiTM students' acceptance towards the
COVID- 19 pandemic Standards Operating
Procedure (SOP).

Element Unit A UiTM student.

Population All UiTM students in Puncak Alam, Selangor.

h
Sample Sampling 30 UiTM students.

Technique Convenience sampling technique

● This sample is easy to find the respondent

● Advantages of convenience sampling, it is
very efficient, and simple to get data.
● The disadvantage of this convenience
sampling is the sample is lacking and not
clear.

Data Collection

Method Questionnaire

● Early month of May 2021.

● We use google form to make a survey
and collect the data
● We use social media like Whatsapp
and Instagram to share this google
form to the respondent.
● About 1 week we collect this data.
Sources of Data : Primary Data.

● Advantages of primary data: All the data is

3
up-to- date, relevant and specific for doing
research.
● Disadvantages of primary data: It may take a

Conto
long time to complete the research
because students
need to search all information about the
research.

3.2 Inferential Analysis

3.2.1 Independent Sample Test

Conto
Independent Sample Test is a statistical technique that can be used to estimate
the difference of an agreement between male and female about UiTM Students
Acceptance towards the Covid-19 Pandemic Standard Operating Procedure
(SOP). These two samples are independent because they are drawn from two
different populations, and the samples have no effect on each other.

• P-values provide a precise estimate of the probability of the null

hypothesis been true. It therefore provides an indication on the internal
validity of our efforts to prove our alternative hypothesis as being wrong.
Rejecting or not rejecting the null hypothesis seems to be easier to justify
with α = 0.05.
• We are 95% confident that the mean of UiTM students’ acceptance
towards the COVID-19 pandemic SOP between male and female means lies
between -1.52608 and

3.2.2 Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)

Conto
Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is a statistical technique that can be used to test
for equality of three or more population means. The technical is called “Analysis
of Variance” rather than “Analysis of Means” because inferences about means
are made by analysing variance ANOVA is use to assess potential differences
between one dependent variable which is a qualitative variable and
independents variable or factors which is a nominal variable having 2 or more
categories. In this project, the independent variable is the mean of students'
consideration in selecting UiTM students' acceptance towards the COVID-19
pandemic Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
