I. Problem
Crayons have been used for a decade for its use of coloring. Children have been using
it and that has been a successful use of color. But mostly, Crayons can be harmful due
to its ingredients. This can affect the environment and cause land pollution or landfill
blockage because it's a non-biodegradable product. It also includes children, where
there are children who have sensitive skin that causes skin irritation or allergies. It
also adds to choking hazards that affect the chemicals of the crayon in the children’s
bodies. The researchers propose to make eco-friendly and accessible crayons using
plants as an extract.

II. Title #1
“Organic Plant Extract as a Natural Pigment in Crayons”

III. Statement of the Problem

The main purpose of this study is to use the benefits of the plant extract and its
natural color.
Specially, this study aims to provide an answer to the following:

1. What kind of extract and pigment will be the effective in terms of:
1.1 Color;
1.2 Texture;
1.3 Scent?

IV. Hypothesis
The study of The Use of Organic Plants Extract as Pigments in Crayons will test the
alternative hypothesis. Organic plants is an effective component of The extract of
organic plants is effective for pigments based on it’s color, texture and scent.

Ha: It is possible to use the extract of organic plants as pigments on crayons and
examine it’s color, texture and scent.

I. Problem
Six-pack rings have been used for decades in packaging beverages. But now, six-pack
rings have been a cause of deaths of animals such as mammals, birds, and aquatic
animals. It is also made of plastic that can easily be blown away from our
surroundings. It is also a non-biodegradable product that can affect our environment.
Six-pack rings also take 450 years to decompose, which causes pollution to our
ecosystem. The researchers propose to make biodegradable six-pack rings using
abaca fiber and banana leaves.

II. Title #2
“Using Abaca Fiber and Banana Leaves as an Alternative Six-pack Rings”

III. Statement of the Problem

The main objective of this study is to test the effectiveness of abaca fiber, cornstarch
and gelatin as an alternative six-pack rings
1. What are the effects of using abaca fiber and banana leaves as an alternative a six-
pack rings in terms of:
1.1 durability
1.2 strength; and
1.3 biodegradability?

IV. Hypothesis
The study of using abaca fiber and banana leaves as an alternative six-pack rings will
be testing the alternative hypothesis. Abaca fiber is an effective component of six-
pack rings based on the given variables.

Ha: it is possible to make eco-friendly six-pack rings with the use of abaca fiber.
Because of it’s durability strength and biodegradability.

I. Problem
Adhesive tape can be harmless, but mostly adhesive tapes are made of plastic, so the
use of plastic-based tape has been a result of a non-environmental state due to
pollution. These tapes can take about years before composing them, so they would
end up in landfills, houses, or garbage in the bin, which causes harm to the
environment. The researchers discovered how to make a biodegradable tape using
cornstarch and banana leaves.

II. Title #3
“Using Cornstarch and Banana Leaves as an Biodegradable Tape”

III. Statement of the Problem

The main objective of the researcher's study is to test the durability and effectiveness
of developing biodegradable tape using cornstarch and banana leaves:
1. What is the effectivity of developing biodegradable tape using cornstarch and
banana leaves in terms of:
1.1 durability
1.2 stickiness; and
1.3 Cleanliness?

IV. Hypothesis
The study of using cornstarch and banana leaves as an biodegradable tape will test the
alternative hypothesis. Banana leaves and cornstarch are an effective component of a
tape.

Ha: it is possible to make a biodegradable tape with the use of cornstarch and banana
leaves because of it’s durability, stickiness and cleanliness.
