ANNE’S Wedding Reception.

N: The solemn part of the celebration transpired earlier at St. Joseph

Church and we thank the people who were witnesses to the occasion.

J: For those who just joined in, we welcome you to the reception of the
newly-wed couple in the celebration of another milestone, a new beginning
and new hopes as they live together as one.

N: In the couple’s behalf, we would like to say thank you to all of you who
came in despite busy schedules and to those who travelled many miles just
to be with us. It is indeed our pleasure to see you all.

regard, we acknowledge the presence of the newly-wed couple’s parents
who reared them to become regimented individuals.

N: Were it not for these people, DERICK ROD and APRIL ANNE would not
have met each other. We would like to welcome, the parents of the of the
groom, MR. PAULO VILLANUEVA AND MRS. ALMA VILLANUEVA. We also
have with us, MR. MARLON VINOYA AND MRS. DALIA VINOYA, the

N: We now come to the rituals or traditions during wedding receptions. May

I request DERICK ROD AND APRIL ANNE to prepare for the slicing of the
cake. Please be beside your wedding cake. The cake, which has been a
part of wedding celebrations since the olden times symbolizes good luck
and fertility. The sharing of the cake is a metaphor for the couple’s
willingness to fulfill each other’s needs, creating a bond so simple, yet so
strong. Palakihan na lang ito ng subo ng cake.

WINE TOASTING:

J: Time and again, a celebration will not be complete without a toast and a
bottle of fine wine. Let us now bring the good wine and pour some onto our
glasses. Please join us onstage, _________ to lead the toasting of the wine.
Wine toasting is a symbol of our well wishes for the couple’s good fortune,

DOVE RELEASING

N: Doves are the embodiment of untarnished love. The pair of dove signifies
DERICK ROD AND APRIL ANNE being released to start a new horizon.
Like these doves, the couple will always seek the comfort of each other and
will always find their way home. As white doves choose their mates for life,
they symbolize fidelity, true love, new beginnings and of course peace and
serenity. At the count of 3, release the doves. 1, 2, 3. GO!
