Introduction:
This session will provide a comprehensive understanding of the theory, operations, and applications of these engines in aircraft. By the end of this lesson, you will have a solid
foundation in the different types of aircraft engines and their respective roles in aviation.

A. REVIEW

topics from each module: EXAM.

of core concepts from Modules B. Module 1:Introduction to Aircraft engines
1-5, including the principles of (Reciprocating Engines)
jet propulsion, different types of C. Module 2:Introduction to Aircraft engines
gas turbine engines, the history (Gas Turbine Engines)
of jet propulsion development, D. Module 3: History of Jet Propulsion
and applications (World War II - Modern Era
Developments).
E. Module 4: Four Types of Jet Propulsion
(Rocket, Ramjet, Pulsejet, Gas Turbine).
F. Module 5: Principles of Jet Propulsion
(thrust, specific impulse, fuel efficiency).
Gas Turbine Engines (Turbo Prop, Turbo
Fan, Turbo Shaft, Turbo Jet).

G. LESSON PROPER

Quiz Format: Inform students about the structure


of the quiz, which may include:

● Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):


Testing basic understanding of definitions
and concepts.
● Short Answer Questions: Asking for
explanations of how certain engine types
work.
● Problem-Solving Questions: Requiring
calculations of thrust or fuel efficiency.
● Essay Questions: Asking for analysis of
historical developments or a comparison
between two propulsion systems.

H. EVALUATION

Quiz Administration:

● Provide a 60 minute window for students


to complete the quiz.
● Ensure the quiz includes a mix of
conceptual, analytical, and application-
based questions to assess different levels
of understanding.
