2024 – Project Internship Programme


Project Guidelines
• Students have to approach the concern/ company and they have to get the bonafide letter
to undergo the project work in their concern and the same to be submitted on/before
11.12.24 to the allotted institutional guide.
• Students have to do the project work for a period of Four Months (Dec 2024 – March
2025).
• Doing the project work in training institute/computer centers will not be entertained at

any cost (A big No to Paid Projects).


• Internal supervisors/Project Guide will be assigned to each student and he/she shall
regularly communicate to the respective internal supervisor and has to get the approval
for proceeding to the next stage during the course of the project work.
• Each student will be interviewed and accessed by a Project Selection Panel (PSP) - Guide
to validate the project. Each Student should appear before the selection panel with the
details such as name of the company in which he/she has proposed to do the project,
proposed modules and tool/platform. After the screening process on 11.12.24, the panel
will list out the projects that are selected / rejected. The students whose projects are
rejected shall seek for a fresh project from another company.
• If the project is selected by the panel, then the student has to submit the original
confirmation letter on 16.12.24.
• Students will be evaluated by their performance in the reviews. The following contents
are to be presented through the PowerPoint Slides with a Printed form.
• When the students come for the Model Viva voce, they should submit one copy of their
final drafts signed by the Internal Supervisor, HOD and Dean. They shall also be
prepared to demonstrate their work on the same day.
• Students are expected to undertake project work individually and submit an individual
project report.
• The students are expected to make a power point presentation on their project–
objectives, work carried out so far, design, development, output expected, status, and plan
for the remaining period. Attendance for the project reviews is compulsory and the
student has to stay back for the whole day.
• Students are advised to communicate with their guide regularly with regard to the
progress of the work. If a student is absent for the review, respective marks shall not be
provided. However, he/she shall be allowed to take up the subsequent review.

Documentation Guidelines
• The format of the project report is as follows:
1. Wrapper -B.Com (Commerce, ISM and A&F)– Blue
2. Copy of the wrapper
3. Declaration by the candidate
4. Certificate from project guide
5. Certificate from the organization
6. Acknowledgement
7. Synopsis
8. Table of contents
9. Chapters
10. Bibliography (In the alphabetical order of authors)

• The preliminary pages of the Project Report(Such as title page, acknowledgement, table
of contents, etc.) should be numbered in lowercase Roman numbers and Pages of the
main text stating with Chapter-1 should be consecutively numbered in Arabic numbers.
Binding Specifications: Wrapper should be in golden color and printing of wrappers
should be done in the press and not hard bound.

General Format Guidelines

Page Size: A4
Margins: Left-1.25”, Right-1.0”, Top-1.0”, Bottom-1.0”
Chapter Name: Bold – 18 points – Times New Roman, Center Aligned
Main Headings: Bold – 16 points – Time New Roman – Left Aligned
Sub Headings: Bold – 14 points – Times New Roman – Left Aligned
Main body: Normal – 12 points – Times New Roman – Justified
Line spacing: 1.5
• The following is the table of contents from a project report. This is only a guideline and
the students are asked to prepare the contents related to their project after discussing with
their respective guides and should present the contents during their reviews.

Abstract
Abstract should be of one page. It should contain the problem definition and the scope of the
project.

In case of References, follow the order given below:
• Author Name (s), Book Name in italics-Volume or Edition, Publisher’s name,
Year of Publication, mention the page numbers you have referred. (In case of
reference from journals, the corresponding title of the article referred must be
within double quotes and the journal name must be in italics). Also arrange the
references in ascending order of the author names.
• In case of more than three authors you can use the first author’s name followed by
the word et al (italicized)
• You may include the list of web references under a separate head “Web
References”. (Do not use the word webography)
• Before you keep the internal supervisor’s certificate, keep the copy of the
certificate that you would receive from the industry/institute. You can put both of
them under one head “certificates”.
