HOW TO PREPARE FIELD PROJECT REPORT
FORMAT
All students should strictly follow the following standards for preparation
of Field Report
GUIDELINES FOR THE FIELD PROJECTS:
NATURE OF THE FIELD PROJECT:
1. Field project must be related to the intended specialization of the
student.
2. Field projects must be done individually. Group projects are not
permitted.
3. The project should involve fieldwork; online projects are not permitted.
4. Primary data collection is mandatory.
5. Field projects can be quantitative / qualitative in nature or even use
mixed approaches.
6. Field projects can involve surveys, interviews, case studies, visits or
observation studies.
7. For surveys, the sample size should be between more than or equal
to100 participants.
8. For in-depth interviews (lasting at least 45-60 minutes), the sample size
should be a minimum of 25 participants.
9. Total Hours of Effort Expected: 160 Hours, (This can be completed
during the Semester, Saturdays, Sundays, Public holidays, Winter
vacation in between Sem-I and Sem-II)

For Finance:
Ratio analysis, risk management, legal aspects, funds flow statement, country
risk analysis, investment decisions, capital budgeting, cost analysis, analysis of
financial positions of company, TDS, International finance, balance sheet,
Portfolio management, import export procedures and tax implications etc.
For HR:
Training & Development, Recruitment & Selection Process, Perfomance
appraisal system, motivational tools, manpower planning labour laws, grievance
handling procedures, interview techniques, etc.

Interpretation:
50 % of customers are satisfied, 25% are satisfied, 15% are dissatisfied, 8% are
highly dissatisfied and 3% are no response with the product due to best quality
of the product. It has been observed that 3% customer is non-respondent as they
were busy with other works.
RESULTS / FINDINGS:
Fndings are statements of factual information based upon the data
analysis
List all the major findings of the project serially
Put the findings in sequence of the study
SUGGESTIONS:
CONCLUSION:
While concluding student should take care that his/ her conclusion is matching
with the title of the project and objectives set in the project.

BIBLIOGRAPHY:
It includes names of references, books & research journals used, web site,
newspaper etc.
A bibliography is the listing of the work that is relevant to the main topic of the
research interest arranged in the alphabetical order of the last names of the
author(s).
A reference list is a subset of the bibliography, which includes details of the all
the citation used in the literature survey and elsewhere in the report, arranged
again, in the alphabetical order of the last names of the author(s).
At least three modes of referencing are followed in the business research. These
are based on the format provided in the publication manual of the American
Psychological Association (APA), (2001), the Chicago Manual Style (1993),
and the Turabian style (1996).
Each of these style specifies with examples, how books, journals newspapers,
dissertations and other documentation materials are to be referenced in the
manuscript.
Since the APA format is followed for referencing by many journals in the
management area, the monograph will highlight the distinctions in how books,
journals, newspapers, dissertations and other documentation materials are
referenced using APA format as specimen referencing format below:

EVALUATION PATTERN:
Total Marks : 150
Formative Assessment : 50 Marks
Summative Assessment : 100 Marks
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The researcher should bring all his/her project related rough work, data sheet,
filled questionnaires to the institute (Internal project guide) as soon as the
project training is over ( i.e., Feb, 2025).
