Position Overview:
As the Programs Associate for the Issroff Family Foundation (IFF), you will play a vital role in
empowering community leaders and organizations fostering positive change for children and
youth in East and Southern Africa. Partnering closely with the Collaborative Learning Initiative
(CLI) Program Manager and reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position offers a
unique opportunity to support innovative programs, engage with inspiring partners, and
contribute to the growth of Africa's social sector. The job description below suggests the
general outline of this position; key responsibilities are subject to change based on
organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
COLLABORATIVE LEARNING INITIATIVE SUPPORT
- Partner with the CLI Program Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day programmatic
operations
- Execute the administrative aspects of the CLI Program, including internal and external
communications with partners, facilitators, and the IFF Team via WhatsApp, Gmail, Google
Calendar, Google Classroom, and project management systems
- Help facilitate engaging weekly virtual learning experiences by preparing “run-of-shows” in
advance and providing tech support on ZOOM
- Help coordinate quarterly in-person partner meet-ups in various countries across East and
Southern Africa
- Collaborate with the Associate Director, IFF Team, and the Board of Directors to execute the
recruitment and onboarding process for new program participants, including conducting due
diligence of new partner organizations
- Work with the Associate Director and IFF Team to engage program alumni through Continued
Learning sessions and the Cross-Cohort Community Convening
- Support the development and maintenance of regular monitoring and evaluation
- Engage in the broader ecosystem to identify prospective leaders, facilitators, partners,
funders, or supporters
- Represent IFF at relevant network meetings, convenings, or conferences
- Conduct site visits when relevant or required
What We Offer:
- Salary range $40,000 - $46,000 USD per year, depending on experience
- Full-time consultancy position (40 hours per week) working Monday through Friday

(Please Note: This role requires schedule flexibility to accommodate colleagues based in New
York and Kenya time zones. On some days, meetings and/or engagements may end at 8 pm
East Africa Time)
Ideal Candidate:
You are a proactive, tech-savvy individual with a passion for social impact. You thrive as part of
a collaborative team but also feel comfortable in a self-guided, remote-first work environment.
You have demonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent
communication abilities. You have experience with relationship management and working with
diverse communities. You have great written and verbal communication skills in English. Bonus
if you have experience in program support, monitoring and evaluation, branding and
communication, event coordination, database management, and/or nonprofit administration.
