ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Sentiment Analysis of Product Reviews Data Aug 2018 – Present
 This project is aimed at analysing the reviews given by users for a particular product.
 Each Review is analysed and an opinion of the user will be classified into either good, bad or neutral.
 A graph will be drawn to showcase the number of good, bad and neutral comments for the whole product.
 Another graph will be drawn to show the change in sentiment according to the time.
 Machine learning techniques and R is used to implement this project.

Data Visualization of UK accidents data Mar 2018 – May 2018

 This project is intended to show some insights of accidents data through visualization.
 Steam Graph has been implemented to show number of accidents for each location every month.
 A functionality to update the steam graph on changing the year is also implemented as a part of the project.
 On hovering over a particular point on the steam graph the details about the accidents for that region at that
time is displayed to draw insights about accidents in particular area.
 Another visualization called percent bars have also been implemented to show the percentage of accidents
occurred based on the road conditions every month per year which gives the insights from data regarding the
number of accidents occurred due to bad road conditions and particular measures can be taken to avoid such
accidents.
 JavaScript (d3.js) has been used to achieve these visualizations.

Data Analysis on Flight On-Time Performance data Nov 2017 - Dec 2017
 Analysis is mainly done to determine which airline is better to choose for avoiding the cancellation of the trip.
 Basic analysis on data like the most operated flights by an airline, flights delays and cancellations formed the
basis for final outcome.
 On performing analysis about the frequency, number of operated flights, cancelled flights, etc. on all the airlines
based on the previous available data, the best airline is suggested.
 The code was run locally and on AWS cluster to produce the desired results.
 Set up a new AWS account and created cluster with 8cores (i.e. Master node -1, Slave nodes -7) that supports
python on them.
 Run the code on AWS Cluster and observed that the execution time reduced by about 80%.
 Python is mainly used along with NumPy, plotly, matplotlib and pandas libraries.

Load Balancing Model Based on Cloud Partitioning for Public Cloud Jan 2015- Apr 2015
• The moto of the project is to distribute the load among nodes such that no node is overloaded.
• A webpage was created using HTML and CSS to show the Distributed load on the servers.
• A virtual cloud environment was created by connecting 3 systems via common Wi-Fi where one system contains
3 folders acting as cloud servers.
• The incoming requests from other systems will be distributed among the 3 cloud servers and the status of each
server will be shown on the web page.
• Round robin and game theory algorithms were used to distribute the load among the servers such that no server
is overloaded.
• JavaScript is used to build the project by implementing the proposed algorithms.

Emulate a UNIX Shell Feb 2014 - April 2014

• Objective is to implement the functionality of some UNIX Commands.
• Created own UNIX commands like the replica of the original commands by adding more functionality to them.
