IOT based Greenhouse Monitoring and Control System Project
ABSTRACT
The proposed project focuses on an IoT-based Greenhouse Monitoring
and Control System to address the challenges of maintaining optimal conditions for plant growth. Traditional greenhouse management often relies on manual monitoring and control, which can lead to inefficiencies, inconsistent conditions, and higher operational costs. There is a need for an automated, efficient, and cost-effective solution to ensure optimal environmental conditions for maximizing agricultural yield and resource utilization.
The system integrates IoT technology with sensors to continuously
monitor key parameters such as temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and light intensity within the greenhouse. Data from these sensors is transmitted to a central IoT platform, where real-time analysis is performed. Automated control mechanisms, including actuators and relays, are employed to adjust conditions like ventilation, irrigation, and lighting based on sensor feedback. A user-friendly mobile or web application provides live updates, alerts, and historical data, enabling remote monitoring and manual control when necessary.
The results demonstrate significant improvements in maintaining stable
greenhouse conditions, reducing water and energy consumption, and enhancing crop productivity. This IoT-based system not only reduces human effort but also ensures precision in managing greenhouse environments, making it a sustainable and efficient solution for modern agriculture.
