Living Longer
Living Longer
Problems:
xa rời con cái -> reduce level of contentment among người già
societal level: exert burden on public economy -> nhận pension, và
việc họ sống lâu hơn mà ko contribute gì cho economy (ko làm viejc
nữa) sẽ put pressure cho đất nước (trong khi tiền đó…)
Solutions
encourage elderly + their children living together -> con cái có cơ
hội chăm sóc bố mẹ tốt hơn, tránh financial vulnerability + tăng
bonding, sự vui vẻ của bố mẹ
kéo dài tuổi nghỉ hưu + suggest thêm 1 số cv part-time phù hợp với
ng già (nếu ngta có mong muốn làm việc)
It is true that people are living for a long time after their retirement.
There are a variety of possible problems for this, but steps can
definitely be taken to tackle the problem. ( Band 6.0)
To begin with, two main issues are associated with the way humans
prolong their lives. Firstly, on an individual level, if the elder live longer,
they might confront a precarious and lonely life as their children are
preoccupied working and taking care of their nuclear family. Therefore,
they might suffer loneliness during the rest of the time instead of
enjoying a wonderful life mentally and physically. Moreover, long life
spans might put financial additional on them since their savings could
not afford to pay for the ever-increasing healthcare costs and it could
lead to higher poverty rate among seniors. Secondly, in a society level,
elderly are entitled to have more care services as they are more prone
to chronic diseases such as Dementia and Alzheimer . Hence, a
considerable amount of money might be allocated for healthcare which
would lead to increased pressure on public finances. ( Band 7.0 )
