Lab 9-Task 1
Advanced Slide Layout:
1. Create a 6-slide presentation.(See Figure 1)
 Go to the Home tab.
 Click on New Slide.
2. Use at least three different layouts.(See Figure 2)
 Go to the Home tab.
 Click on Layout.
3. Add text, images, and a chart in one of the slides.(See Figure 3)
 When you select a layout (Except Title Layout, Section Header, Title Only, Blank
Layout) in the middle of every layout have a following options:
1. Insert Table.
2. Insert Chart.
3. Insert a SmartArt Graphic.
4. 3D Models.
5. Pictures.
6. Online Pictures.
7. Insert Video.
8. Insert An Icon.

Lab 9-Task 2
Custom Themes:
1. Design your own theme.(See Figure 1)

 Go to the Home tab.


 Click on New Slide.
 Enter Random Paragraphs in slides.
 Go to the Design tab.
 Click on Themes.
 Select Themes.
2. Apply custom colors, fonts, and background styles.(See Figure 2)
 Go to Home Tab.
1. Change the Font Style.
2. Change the Font Colour.
3. Change the Font Size.

Lab 9-Task 3
Interactive Presentation:
1. Add hyperlinks to connect slides within your presentation.
 Go to the Home tab.
 Click on New Slide.
 Select Blank Slide.(See Figure 1)
 Enter Random Heading on slide.(Adding Hyperlink)
 For putting Heading on slide go to Insert Tab > Select shapes> Select Text Box.
(See Figure 2)
 Double click on anywhere on slide and Enter Heading. (Adding Hyperlink )
 Again Select Text box.
 Enter Heading. (W3 School)
 Then Select Text (W3 School) and Go to Links in Insert Tab.(See Figure 3)
 Add link.
 For open link we are using shortcut key. (Ctrl + Click) (See Figure 5)
2. Include a navigation slide to access any slide directly.
 Enter Random Heading on slide.(Adding Navigation Slide)
 For putting Heading on slide go to Insert Tab > Select shapes> Select Text Box.
(See Figure 2).
 Double click on anywhere on slide and Enter Heading. (Adding Navigation Slide)
 Again Select Text box.
 Enter Heading. (Slide 3)
 Then Select Text (Slide 3) and Go to Links and select Action in Insert Tab.(See
Figure 4)
 Add Navigation Slide.
 For open Navigation slide (Slide 3) we are using shortcut key. (Ctrl + Click) (See
Figure 6)

Lab 9-Task 4
Animations and Transitions:
1. Apply a unique transition to slide.
 Transition effect is used only on slides.
 Go to the Home tab.
 Select Any Slide. (See Figure 1)
 Then go to Transitions Tab>Transitions to this slide.(See Figure 2)

 Select Effect (Vortex, Shred, Flip Etc.) of your Choice.


 You can also check effect by click on Preview option in Transitions Tab which is
available on left side of the Transitions. (See Figure 2)
2. Use animations to reveal text and images on one slide.
 Animations effect is used only on Text.
 Go to the Home tab.
 Select Any Slide.(See Figure 1)
 Enter Random Heading on slide also adding picture.
 After this Select Text or Picture and go to Animations Tab > Animation select
effect of your for text and image.(See Figure 3)
 You can also check effect by click on Preview option in Animation Tab which is
available on left side of the Animation.(See Figure 3)

Multimedia Integration:
1. Insert an audio clip on one slide.

 Go to the Home tab.


 Select Any Slide. (See Figure 1)
 After this go to Insert Tab> Media choose Audio. (See Figure 2)
 Insert Audio
2. Insert a video clip on another slide
 Go to the Home tab.
 Select Any Slide. (See Figure 1)
 After this go to Insert Tab> Media choose Video.(See Figure 3)
 Insert Video.

Professional Presentation:
1. Create a 10-slide presentation on a topic of your choice.

 Go to the Home tab.

2. Use consistent formatting, animations, and transitions.(See Figure 2)


3. Add speaker notes for at least three slides.

 Speaker Notes in Powerpoint are those notes that help presenters remembers what to
say during a presentation.
