(x – 6)/8 – (2x – 15)/9 + 1 = x/15 – (x – 12)/6 [4]

(b)Think a number x, treble it, add 7 and multiply the result by 12. Now divide by 11 and

subtract the number you first thought of. Consider the final result is equal to y. Find

(c)Factorise:

(b)A certain number of men can finish a piece of work in 10 days. If there are 7 more men,

the work can be completed in 8 days. How many men were originally there [4]

Q10. (a)A manufacturer makes 750 articles at accost of 60 paisa per article. He fixes the selling

price such that if only 600 articles are sold, he would make a profit of 40% on his outlay.

However, he sold 630 articles at this price. Find his actual profit percent as a percentage

of the total outlay assuming that the unsold articles are useless [4]

(b) In the adjoining figure MN is parallel to PQ, and angle LBN=700 , AB=BC, find the value

of angle ABC
