DICE Hockey Game Charts
Anytime you roll the dice if you get the result on the player card that says turnover, refer to this chart and roll the dice again.
On a breakaway chance use the player's shot range and add +30 to it. So if a player has a goal range of
00-20, make that a 00-50. If the shot is missed, an even number indicates the puck was chased down
and fielded by the defensive RD. If the number is an odd result that misses, then the puck has been
chased down by the defensive LD. Then resume normal rules of play.
Before rolling to see who wins the face off. Check each Center's face off rating and take the difference
and then apply that to the ranges. For example, if the home team C has a +11 face off rating and the
away team C has a +6 face off rating, the difference would be +5 to the home team C. So the new face off
numbers would be: 00-54 home team C wins and 55-99 the away team C wins. In some cases one or
both of the Centers will have negative ratings. For example, the home team C has a face off rating of
-15 and the away team C has a face off rating of +5. The difference here is 20. So that would make the
new ranges: 00-29 the home team C wins the face off and 30-99 the away team C wins the face off.
On all face off wins, use the following determination. On all even rolls, the face off is directed to the RD.
On all odd rolls, the face off is directed to the LD.
DICE Hockey Penalty Chart A
Use this chart whenever your result off of the PLAYER'S card says “Penalty”. Do not use this chart if the penalty
has been called by way of using the special charts.
Once a penalty has been called, the first step is to decide which player the penalty has been called on. Roll the dice
and refer to the chart below. If the penalty has been called on a defensive player, continue play until the defense is
in control of the puck, or we have a whistle blowing the play dead. If the penalty is called on an offensive player,
stop play immediately.
Remember, that all of these penalties are minor penalties. All minor penalties are killed off when the defense gets
two clears. For a defensive player to get credit for a clear, he needs to get the puck and then make one successful
pass. Consider the successful pass a clearing of the puck to the other end of the ice. Any rolls that result in goalie
or player shots, will also be considered clears of the puck. Please see the rules for complete explanations.
DICE Hockey Special Charts
Use these charts anytime you get the “Special” result off the players card.
