INTRODUCTION
G. MESKEL TEARE Architects, Engineers, Planners Pvt. Ltd.Co, (ERITREA)
was established and legally registered in 1992 In Asmara, Eritrea after
being certified by the Ministry of Public Works (MOPW) The State of Eritrea.
The practice continues to provide the broad spectrum of professional
expertise necessary for multidisciplinary building and engineering projects
on an international scale, augmented by specialist consultants from a wide
network of contacts.

G. MESKEL TEARE has its office located in the Centre of Asmara, just
across the Public Library on the first floor of the late Nesredin Building.
Nora Street, 176, House No. 01/18, Asmara.

The firm has all the facilities necessary for a Consulting house including
a data bank center, computing and printing facilities and a separate
Consultation room for use of visiting Consultants.

G. MESKEL TEARE works in close cooperation with G.TEARE + M. TEDROS,

Architects, Engineers and Planners (Ethiopia) which was founded since
1961 having offices and associations with other practices in Kenya, Malawi,
Uganda, and Zimbabwe. G. TEARE is the major shareholder of the office
in Ethiopia, The firm is a founding member of Federation of African
Consultants (FEAC) and has been approved as Consultant for projects
financed by the African Development Bank (ADB), European Economic
Commission (EEC), The World Bank (IBRD), The UN (ECA, ILO, ITT,
WHO), The Lutheran World Federation (LWF), The Catholic Mission, The
Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), and the Embassies of
the following countries in Ethiopia: Belgium, Canada, Indonesia, Kenya,
Sweden, Tanzania, UK, USA, former USSR, and the Republic of Yemen.

ACTIVITIES
The practice is a private Professional Consulting firm in Architecture,
Engineering, and Planning that provides consulting and related services
such as health and education projects including Project Management
services to the private sector, cooperative, government and non-
governmental organizations.

EXPERTISE

Architecture
Architects undertake project management, feasibility studies, design,
production drawings, contract documentation, and administration.These
services are provided as traditional client/consultant commissions, for
design and supervision packages. Specialized experience in recent years
has been in the fields of health
particularly hospitals and pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, from
the sophisticated to the simplest of facilities, and education particularly
secondary schools, training establishments residential buildings, hotels,
and leisure facilities, television studios, defense, government and
commercial development schemes, rehabilitation and refurbishment of
older buildings, and space planning are a major part of the practice’s work
load in Eritrea.

Structural And Civil Engineering (Roads)

Full support to architectural and multi-disciplinary commissions is
provided. Specialist services include structural condition surveys of
existing buildings with reports and recommendations for repair and
restoration, infrastructure, including roads.

G.Meskel Terae has been involved in road sector development activities in

feasibility studies road engineering design and National Bridge Inventory
Condition Survey and Strength in association with leading European

Building Services Engineering

Feasibility studies, design, detailing and supervision of electrical and
mechanical services and systems, including heating, ventilation, air
conditioning and public health engineering are undertaken.

G.MESKEL TEARE has a strong team of Architects, Engineers and Planners inside and
outside in its sister organizations. In addition to the full time professionals in the above
disciplines, it has a roster of other professionals who have worked at very senior levels
and have acquired extensive local and overseas experiences in various fields.
