FAMILY UNITY REFLECTION

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, created light, day
and night, created the sky, divided the waters of the earth, made plants and
animals. The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky. Everything we could observe
and everything was good.

God said: Let us make man, let us make him in our image and likeness, and
the Lord formed man from the dust of the earth. He blew into his nostrils and
the man became a living being, after that, while the man was sleeping, God
took one of his ribs and with it formed a woman.

He presented her to the man, and in this way, God instituted marriage, and
God blessed them with these words: Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and
subdue it. This is how he established what the family would be. The basic unit
of society and the family unit remained alive and intact.

“Honor your father and your mother,”


It is the first commandment with an implicit promise.

“You must not commit adultery.”


Time passed and families on earth grew in harmony and unity.

Noah: an example of righteousness that brought salvation to his entire family,


Abraham: his faith and friendship with God led him to become the father of
nations.
Joseph: sold by his brothers, was able to endure humiliation, temptations and
great trials, thanks to the effective teaching of a loving father.
Jochebed: her love was stronger than the distance, ensuring the life of little
Moses and thus guaranteeing the freedom of her nation.
Joshua: determined and decisive, he led his family and served the Lord firmly.
Anna: She gave up little Samuel's company to keep her word and show her
appreciation by the will of God.
Joseph: Jesus' adoptive father; just and always obedient to divine direction, he
raised him by teaching the ALMIGHTY the law and a trade.
The years passed, and the family unit was a reflection of obedience to divine
mandates. Husbands exercise leadership of the home with love. Wives, with
respect, prudence and love, take care of the home; obedience and submission
characterize their hearts. Children, raised responsibly and instructed in the
ways of the Lord, obey their parents, honor the home and are examples of
integrity. Time at home is shared, enjoyed as a team. God is the center, He
preserves unity and family love. The home is like a tree, with roots deeply
embedded in the foundation of faith and the example of JESUS, and whose
fruits are a reflection of its daily nourishment. The Christian family is an
example and a source of values for society. But time did not stop and the
changes can be seen clearly, marriages are formed strangely, children are not
expected, husbands no longer love, wives do not respect, children are not
obedient, the responsibility of instruction has passed from parents to
television, the Internet, bad friendships and the outside, time at home is no
longer shared, now it is a battlefield in which each individual seeks his own
interests, does NOT listen, does NOT understand, does NOT respect, does NOT
love. The family team has been divided, the center is no longer GOD, he is
now at the end of a long list of individual priorities and pending issues, the
family tree is dying, its fruits are no longer good and much less healthy.
What happened to the family mission???

We must strengthen the mission of revealing, guarding and communicating


love, that love that is the reflection of God's love for men and of Christ's love
for his church. Only in a loving environment can man learn to fully unfold his
personality and reach the goal that God proposes to every man: "HOLINESS"
The force that unifies the family is love, love is much more than a feeling, love
is stable, permanent and sacrificial, it is love that turns coexistence into family
life, and the family carries out its mission mainly in four areas,

 Forming a community of people


 Being at the service of life
 Participating in the development of society
 Participating in the life and mission of the church

Dear brothers and sisters, I have brought to this meeting where we meet
together as a family this reflection on family unity so that we may welcome it
into our hearts and take it to each of our homes so that God may always be
the Center of our family unity.

Today, my heart is filled with joy as I share this moment of brotherhood. I


want to pray for each one of us so that blessings come in abundance, so that
illnesses are healed in the will of God and that all bonds are released. I
declare for our homes blessings, success and prosperity from the merciful
hand of God and may the Virgin Mary protect us from all evil.

A kiss and a big hug with all my love for my little brothers from their little
sister Fanny.
