8. Course description:
This course introduces concepts, applications and tools of Operations and Supply
Chain Management.
▪ Operations management is a designed system to convert inputs into output
products (and services) in order to be effective and to achieve strategic goals of
a business.
Supply chain management is to manage the movement flow of physical elements
throughout from the input stage until it is transformed into “output” factors, and the
management of relevant factors such as information, finance, risks, legal, policy... to

achieve optimal levels of supply activities and create positive value for the
participants.
9. Course Learning Outcomes - CLOs:
After completing ISCM modules in Supply Chain Management, students will obtain
the following output standards:
9.1 Knowledge
- CLO1.1: Understanding ISCM as well as its application in Supply Chain
Management.
- CLO1.2: Presenting improvements of business management based on related
knowledge of the subjects of information management systems, Logistics, and
Supply chain management.
- CLO1.3: Explaining the necessity of ISCM in supply chain management.
- CLO1.4: Analyzing problems to be encountered in implementing ISCM in
enterprises.
- CLO1.5: Gathering knowledge in order to propose strategies for integrating
ISCM and corresponding modules for different departments to obtain the
purpose of unifying integrated data.
9.2 Skills
- CLO2.1: Criticizing and solving problems occurred from group works.
- CLO2.2: Organizing, assigning tasks for teamwork, and communicating in
groups.
- CLO2.3: Defending individual and collective views and having a sense of

12. Student workload:
In order to complete the course, students need to implement following primary
activities fully, actively and effectively:
- Previewing documents and performing tasks assigned by lecturers before
classes.
- Attending classes and taking part in class discussion activities. Class activities
are organized and coordinated in many forms: Q&A, group discussion,
expressing opinions individually, quick test, etc.
- Actively contributing in group activities at class and at home, specifically self-
organizing, assigning, completing group exercises and joining in groups
through activities in class.
- Regularly keeping track of information in class via LMS.
