Vegan
Definition: Vegan is a type of diet that is a plant-based diet, and also does not consume,
eat or use animal products like meat, fish, eggs or cheese.
Percentage: Percentage of people that follow the vegan diet in the world is only less than
1% of the world population.
Personal: Personally, I am not a vegan, because I love eating seafood and meat, although I
love eating vegetables and fruits too but I don’t think I would give up eating meat and
have a fully vegetarian diet.
Local: In my locality, there are few people who are Buddhists because of ethics (not all
Buddhists eat meat and animal), they do not eat animal products, or rarely.
Nation: In my country, the same as the locals, few people follow this diet, only Buddhists
or people who want to lose weight.
Global: Globally, I know that there are very few people that follow this vegetarian diet. I
think it is because there are many other diets that are also plant-based, but those diets
can also use animal products, which I think more people prefer.
Cause: Preventing exploitation of animals isn’t the only reason why vegans exist, but also
because of their ethics and they believe animals deserve freedom.
Consequence:
positive: While several studies have shown that a vegan diet can lower the risk of disease
of the heart and blood vessels, overweight, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

negative: Vegan has been connected with bad health results, such as nervous, extremely
skinny, and disease-fighting system disabilities, hematological illnesses/problems,mental
health problems due to the (possibility of micro and macronutrient shortages.

Omnivore
Definition: Omnivorous eats or consumes both plants and animal products.
Percentage: About 8% of the population in the world follow the omnivore diet.
Personal: Personally, I am omnivorous, I eat both plant and animal or animal products. I
think I will forever be omnivorous because I love eating both plants and animals.
Local: In my locality, there are quite many people that are omnivorous. People
surrounding me love eating both plants and animals. It is the most common diet in my
area.
Nation: In my country, also the same as locals, mostly people follow that diet.
Global: For the whole world, many people also are omnivorous too. That's why the
percentage of people that are omnivorous in the population is 8%.
Cause: Many people are omnivorous because we have already eaten both plants and
animals in history. We are born to be omnivores.
Consequence:
positive: omnivores can supply more quality complete proteins and also higher in vitamin
B12 (found only in animal foods), along with more zinc, vitamin D, and EPA and DHA
omega-3 fatty acids.
negative: this diet can increase your intake of fat and cholesterol.

Pescatarian:
Definition: Pescatarians are a type of diet that is almost the same as vegan, also a plant-
based diet, but the difference is: pescatarians eat fishes and other seafood.
Percentage: In percentage, there are 5% people in the population follow pescatarian diet.
Personal: Personally, I am not a pescatarian, I do eat plants, fish and seafood but I also eat
meat too.
Local: In my area, I mostly see omnivores, I haven’t heard about anyone who is a
pescatarian.
Country: Same as locals, people that are pescatarian in my country are rare.
Global: In the world, people that follow this type of diet aren't too rare. In fact, the
percentage of pescatarian is higher than vegan but of course it is not higher than
omnivore.
Cause:
consequence;
Positive: Pescatarians eat seafood, which can provide healthy omega-3 fat that can lower
their risk of heart diseases. Lowering the amount of red meat can also lower the chance of
cancer.
negative: certain types of fishes can contain mercury, and also eliminating entirely red
meat can raise the risk of iron deficiency anemia.
