Fuzzy Logic
Fuzzy Logic
Fuzzy logic is an approach to computing that allows for reasoning with approximate values rather
than strict binary logic (true or false). Developed by Lotfi Zadeh in 1965, it enables computers
and control systems to handle uncertainty and imprecision effectively.
Fuzzy logic uses membership functions to define the degree of truth for a given variable. Instead
of binary outputs (0 or 1), it assigns values between 0 and 1, allowing for more flexible decision-
making processes.
With advancements in hybrid AI models, fuzzy logic is expected to work alongside neural
networks and deep learning to improve decision-making in complex, real-world applications.
This document provides an overview of fuzzy logic and its significant role in artificial
intelligence and computational decision-making.
