Ex 5

Packers are responsible for proper packaging, labeling, compliance with regulations, and quality control, while shippers handle transportation arrangements, customs clearance, and customer service. Verified Gross Mass (VGM) is the total weight of cargo plus the container's tare weight, determined by weighing the packed container or calculating the weight of cargo plus tare weight. Container inspection requires checklists to ensure the right container size, structural integrity, and compliance with safety standards.
