23. Two finite sets have'm' andk elements .If the number of subsets of the first set is 112 more
than the number of subsets of the second set, find the values of 'm' and 'k'
24. In a class of 60 students,30 opted for NCC,32 opted for NSS and 24 opted for both NCC and
NSS. If one of these students is selected at random,find the probability that the student opted
neither NCC nor NSS.

25. Find the equation of the circle with centre (2,2) and which passes through the point (4,5).

If the three points (h ,0), (a ,b) and (0,k) lie on a line,show that +=1.

26. Find the image of the point (3,8) w.r.t the linex +3y =7, assuming the line to be a plarne mirror.
27. If the first and the nth terms of a G.P. are 'a' and 'b' respectively,and if P is the product of first
'n' terms ,prove that :- P2 = (ab)n.
OR
The ratio of the sums of m and n terms of an A.P. is m2 :n2.Show that the ratio of mth and nth
terms is (2m-1): (2n-1).
28. A right triangle with sides 15 cm and 20 cm ,is made to revolve about its hypotenuse. Find the
volume and the surface area of the double cone so formed. (Take n =3.14).

31. A consumer in North Delhi consumes 587 units of electricity in amonth.He has the connection
of 4 KW. Calculate the electricity bill of the consumer for that month if the surcharge is Rs.0.40
per unit for that month. Energy charges(Rs./unit) is given below:

32. If C(n,4),C(n,5) and C(n,6) are in A.P., find 'n'.

33. Using first principle: evaluate)

35. The printed price of a carpet is Rs. 2500. A wholesaler in West Bengal buys the carpet from a
manufacturer in Maharashtra at a discount of 12% on the printed price. The wholesaler sells
the carpet to a retailer in Bihar at 32% above the marked price. f the rate of GST on the carpet
is 5%, find:
i) The price inclusive of tax (under GST) at which the wholesaler bought the carpet.
ii) The price inclusive of tax (under GST) at which the retailer bought the carpet.
ii) The tax (under GST) paid by the wholesaler to the Government.
iv) The tax (under GST) received by the Central Government.
