The Public Safety Committee will hold its regular meeting in Council Briefing Room at City
Hall beginning at 9:30 AM. Once convened, the Public Safety Committee will take up the
following items no sooner than the designated times.

Members of the public can comment on items on the agenda. To sign up to speak visit

participate in. Sign up to speak or submit a written comment. Questions relating to these rules

FBI REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
FBI requires reporting using the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS)
• Records each offense occurring within an incident
• Classifies offenses in two Groups: A or B
• Group A are most serious crimes and divided in 3 crime categories:
• Against Persons
• Against Society and
• Against Property 3

• 24 categories and over 50 offense types


• Group B offenses only included in crime statistics and only reported if an arrest is
made. There are 10 Categories of Group B offenses.
