Course identification system : The prefix at the beginning of the course code represents the area of
study, and the first digit of the course number represents the level of the course. Levels are indicated
as follows:
0 Courses below the 1000 level are preparatory in nature and may not be credited toward a University
of the People degree
1&2 Undergraduate course, lower-division
3&4 Undergraduate course, upper-division
5 Graduate courses, graduate division
The academic year consists of five terms. Each ten weeks in length. All courses taken at the
University are listed under the term in which they were taken.

*Grade points assigned to an A+ letter grade were changed from 4.33 to 4.00 in September 2012.
**Under 73 (C) in English Composition 1 (ENGL 0101) and Developmental Algebra (MATH 0101)
P (Passing) Indicates completion of the course duties with academic work equivalent to a D- or above.
W (Withdrawal) Withdrawal indicates that the student withdrew from the course or was removed from
the course by the University due to inactivity.
Achievements (credits and grades) earned as Non Degree Seeking Students will be counted towards
an Undergraduate Program C/GPA.
