Relevant experience

1. Thirty three years experience in Tollygunge film industry, as a freelance assistant director
& associate director, in Sixty feature films and thirty three television serials &
Telefilms, Commercial films, Docu-feature, Documentaries. ( From April 1990 to June
1995 & February 1998 to till today )

2. Two and half years experience working as Field Associate : Communication (in visual &
performing arts) , in Indo-Dutch bi-lateral rural water supply and health promotion
programmes in Uttar Pradesh for communicating project messages through adopting the
local folk art forms in grass root level. ( From July 1995 to November 1997 )

Major responsibilities were:

- Facilitated the training and established of creative communication team.
- Developed issue-based scripts and transformed into a locally appropriate media.
- Facilitated implementation of creative / participatory communication strategy.
- Documentation of the traditional songs / stories to ensure effective
communication.
- Identification local art forms / folklores.

National & international achievements as a core team member in feature films

1. “The Goal” - Won national award as Best Children film of the year 2001-02

2. “Padakhhep” - Won national award as Best regional film and actor Soumitra
Chatterjee got the best actor award in 2008

3. “ Faltu” – Won national award for family welfare in 2008.

4. “ Banshiwala” – Won Mexican I.F.F Bronze Palm award in 2011.

5. “Ami Adu” – Won national award for best regional language film of the year
2011.
Won nomination of best feature film of the year, from one of
the two films in 2011, in SARCC summit at Colombo.

6. THE BIG HIT “KAHAANI” worked as Chief assistant director in 2012.

7. “The Scavengers of the dreams” – World premier in Asian cinema in

BUSAN International Film Festival &
MAMI in 2023.

8. “PURATAWN” (The Ancient) – Best film in Washington DC South AsianFilm

Experience in International projects

1. In 2011, working as an assistant director (only in Indian part of shooting) of a film

named “BRICK LANE” directed by Sarah (U.K) under the banner of SEVEN SEAS
on 2007.

2. Working as an 1st assistant director of Asian team of an International Commercial film

of Lorenz` cashew nuts product of France with KAS Movie makers, New Delhi, at
Ramoji film city, Hyderabad directed by Michel Meyer and DOP was Jaun Paul
Seresin in February 2008.

3. One Little finger released (2019) in U.S.A an International Film, win so many awards
and supported, associated by so many big stars like Julien Lenon, Quincy Jones,
Siedah Garrette, Kechi Okwuchi, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Kevin Mackie and so many.
