 MAJOR EVENTS

 A Virtual Seminar on “Recent Trends in Cyber Security and Safety Measures”

conducted by CSE department on 24th of February 2023. The expert Dr.
A.S.N.Chakaravarty, Professor, CSE from JNTU-Kakinada given a brief
introduction about Cyber Security and how to be safe from various security attacks.
Students were benefited by the expert who has more than a two decade of experience
in the field of various security algorithms. Students got a clear idea about the Cyber
Security and how to handle the various attacks. About 90 students and faculty
members from ECE department participated in this virtual seminar.
 J.J.College of Engineering and Technology and Institution Innovation Council jointly
organized one day workshop “Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behavior
Development” on 28th of February 2023. Guest Speaker Mr. R.Prasath, Assistant
Professor, English from Bishop Heber College, Trichy interacted with students
about entrepreneurship skills and behavior development. Students were benefited by
the expert and got a clear idea about the entrepreneurship skills and behavior
development. About 90 students from ECE department participated in this workshop.
 J.J.College of Engineering and Technology, Institution Innovation Council and
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering jointly celebrated
“International Women’s Day” on 08th of March 2023. Guest Speaker Mrs.
K.Navajothi, HR and Operations Manager, Qserve IT Solutions, Chennai. She
interacted with all department girls’ students and women faculty members about the
importance of women’s contribution towards the society growth and the development
towards it. Various department heads also addressed about the importance of women’s
contribution towards the growth of the society. Students were benefited by the expert
and also involved in various cultural activities.

 The Electronics and Communication Engineering department inaugurates its

Professional Chapter in association with International Association of Engineers
 Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted a webinar on
“Warehouse Management Systems” on 15th of March 2023. Guest Speaker Mr.
Anbarasan Ramamoorthy, Senior Technical Lead, HCL Technologies,
Netherlands given a brief introduction about warehouse management systems and its
importance of how to establish and managing various levels of the system. Students
were benefited by the expert.
 J.J. College of Engineering and Technology celebrated Cultural Fest 2023 on March
21, 2023, on college premises. The event started with a welcome dance performed by
Ms. S.G. Ranjani and Ms. Pooja, followed by a welcome address by Mr. S.Arun
Praveen Raj, a formal Felicitation by our Vice Chairman, Sir Er. R. Chenthur Selvan,
and our Principal, Sir Dr. P. Mathiyalagan, and a presidential address delivered by our
Chairman, Sir Dr. S. Ramamoorthiy. Students from all the departments participated
and made the events successful. Finally, a vote of thanks speech was given by Ms. B.
Mahalakshmi and ended with the National Anthem.
 Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized “The Second
International Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication, VLSI and
Signal Processing – ETCVSP’23” on 24th and 25th of March, 2023. Students from
M.A.M. College of Engineering, Kongunadu College of Engineering, Excel Engineering
College, Syed Ammal Engineering College, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Institute of
Technology etc.. participated and presented their research innovation ideas. On Day – 1
started with welcome address delivered by Dr. S.Sumithra, Prof & Head of ECE
followed by Key note address by Dr. P.Mathiyalagan, Principal, JJCET and sessions
completed with paper presentations. On Day – 2 started with guest lecture given by Dr.
G.Lakshminarayanan, Prof, NIT-Trichy. Then the session started with presentation
and finally ends with certificate distribution and valediction function.


 Students from 2nd and 3rd Year Electronics and Communication Engineering participated
in Webinar on “Recent Trends in Cyber Security and Safety Measures” jointly
organized by Centre of Excellence , J.J.College of Engineering and Technology on 24 th
of February 2023.

Chandigarh from 20th – 24th of February, 2023.

extend heartfelt congratulations to Dr. S. Sumihtra, Professor and Head, who has
been honored by the “Manitham Social Work Organization” as the “Best
Humanitarian Woman” Award on 8th of March, 2023, during the Women’s Day
Celebration.

Mr. R.Purushothaman, Mrs. R.Meenakshi, Mrs. K.Kokulavani and Mrs. V.Gowri
participated in the live webinar on “Virtual Labs” conducted by J.J.College of
Engineering and Technology, on 10th of March 2023.
 Dr. S.Sumithra, Dr. N.L.Venkataraman, Mr. S.Suresh Kumar, and Mr.
R.Purushothaman published a book in the title of “Fiber Optics Communication
and its Application”. Our Principal Dr. P.Mathiyalagan congratulated all the
faculty members for their sincere effort.

been honored by the "Nature Science Foundation" with the "Best HoD
Award" for her research contribution in "Science and Technology” during the

Today, we are in a digital era where walking to a machine is no longer a sci-fi

fantasy. If you are wondering what is the full form of chat GPT then is here the answer.
Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer. This technology is at the forefront of leading
this revolution. Chat GPT trains advanced natural language processing models to generate
personalized conversation with users over text-based chat interfaces. This cutting edge
approach combines deep learning, natural language processing and natural language
understanding disciplines to enable computers to understand users better. Chat GPT has a
remarkable ability to interact in a conversation form that is easy to understand for a
human.
Who created Chat GPT?
Chat GPT was created by a San Francisco – based Artificial Intelligence (AI)
company which is Open AI. Silicon Valley players Musk, Altman and LinkedIn co-
founder Reid Hoffman founded it. Launched on 30 th November 2022.
What is can do?
It creates responses that humans would prefer to know about it. It gives natural
answer to quires raised by the humans in a conversational tone. Helps you to write a code,
plan a birthday party, write a resume, detail explanation about a particular topic etc …

HARD WORK VS SMARK WORK

We have people debating in many places: Does smart work lead to success or
does hard work lead to success?
It's true that smart work helps a person complete a task more efficiently in fewer
hours with fewer resources and reduced efforts, and yet it's still productive. Smart work
pays equal weightage to both the quantity and quality of the work that has been carried
out.
On the other hand, hard work also helps a person complete a task successfully.
But time consumption will be higher, and there is no assurance that the task can be
completed with fewer resources. Hard work refers to a more hands-on approach to things.
Also, hard work tends to reduce the quantity of work.
Working toward success needs a lot of planning before execution. Deciding on the
right way to perform a task is inevitable. Smart workers are people who use the right
strategy to reach their goals easily.
