TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS
Entry fee is Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable
Classical Time format: 30 mins + 30 secs, 7 Rounds, Swiss
System
Matches will be within their respective categories
Latest System of play: The latest FIDE rules in force shall
apply and the SWISS system will be followed
Tie Break- Buchholz tie Break system will be applied. In
case of tie, prizes will not be shared
Default time is 15 mins. Players reaching post-default time
for any round will forfeit points for that round.
Organizers/ Chief Arbiter can ask for proof of category to
players. Please bring relevant documents.
Organizers have the exclusive right to disqualify any player
at any stage of the tournament
Protests if any against decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be
made in writing with a protest fee of Rupees 500 within 10
Minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the Appeal’s
Committee. The protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is
upheld.
Withdrawals: A player can withdraw at any stage of the
event after informing the Chief Arbiter in writing
Appeals Committee: Three members Appeals Committee
shall be formed. No member of the Committee can vote o
dispute in which a player himself is involved and in such
cases, the reserves can take his place in the Committee
Players qualified for more than one prize will be considered
only for one higher prize
Spot entries are not entertained to ensure round starts on
time. Entry closes on 27th March 3pm.
Personal chess sets and clocks are not allowed
Chess sets and clocks will be provided to all players
Players will forfeit the prize if he/she is not present during
prize distribution
E-certificate will be issued to all players
Water will be provided. Please bring your own water bottles
