Department of Architecture, under the umbrella of JNEC, was founded in 1989 and since then
it is serving as hub for creative learning and productivity to undergraduate and postgraduate
students. During the 29 years of association with this institute, It is proud to witness the
development of the whole MGM campus. It is a wonderful demonstration of sustainable ways
of life.
The beauty of this program is the curriculum and methodology where students are
encouraged to be inquisitive of their surroundings and the people that inhabit them. They
want to consider what exists, why it exists and where it exists. They want students to
understand that they are the part of a wider culture of place-making and material
development. It is their designs that will influence society and have impact on our
environment.
The department is equipped with expert and highly qualified staff that always prefers to guide
the students in exploring their ideas. This personal attention makes sure to experience the

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The program prepares students with proficiencies required for being effective professional
architects and exposes them to techno-aesthetical as well as socio-cultural dimensions of
built environment as follows:
• Architectural Consultant – After completion of five year degree program students are
eligible to get registered with COA and they can practice independently.
• Many architects pursue postgraduate, research and doctoral studies.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Bachelor of Architecture is a Five-year undergraduate program approved by the Council of
Architecture, New-Delhi. The program is designed for 5years full time with Choice based
credit system that includes Professional training for 1 semester (Six months). The program is
demarcated into 10 semesters having 290 credits. The assessment criteria based on the
grading system and carried out at the end of every academic semester.
