1. The sum of n terms of an A.P whose common difference is 36 and first term is 5 is equal to the
sum of 2n terms of another A.P whose common difference is 5 and first term is 36. Find ‘n’.
2. The 8th term of an A.P is equal to three times its third term. If its 6 th term is 22, find the A.P
3. If the ratio of the sum of first n terms of two A.P’s is (7n + 1) : (4n + 27) , find the ratio of their
mth terms.
4. The sums of first n terms of three arithmetic progressions are S 1 , S2 and S3 respectively. The first
term of each A.P is 1 and their common differences are 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
Prove that S1 + S3 = 2S2.
5. Find the 20th term of the A.P whose 3rd term is 7 and the seventh term exceeds three times the 3 rd
term by 2. Also find the nth term (an).
6. The 13th term of an A.P is four times its 3rd term. If its fifth term is 16, then find the sum of its first
ten terms.
