Add the following : (a) x3-6x2y +7xy2+y3; 2x2y -7y3; 6y3-5x3 +4x2y -2xy2, (b) a3-1; 2b3-3b; 4c3-5c2 5. Subtract the following :- (a) 1-x-x2-x3 from 2x3-3x2+4x-13. (b) a3+ 3a2b-5ab2 – 2b3 from b3-a3-3ab2-2a2b 6. Multiply :- (a) (3x4 – 4x2 +2x-5) by (2+x-x2) (b) (8x4 -3x2 + 9x-8) by (2x2-5x+3). 7. Divide (a) x+6x2-15 by 2x-3. (b) (x5 +11x-12) by (x2-2x+3) 8. The area of a rectangle is a3-8a2 +7. If the breadth of the rectangle be a-1, find its length 9. If a sum of Rs (16x3 - 46x2 + 39x -9) is to be divided among (8x-3) persons, find the amount received by each person 10. The product of two numbers is x6-y6. If one of the numbers is x-y, then find the other.
