FARAH 12 Report

The technical report for PetroFarah's FARAH-12 well details optimization efforts for the SRP by monitoring pump efficiency and fluid levels. Key findings include a pump fillage of 61% and successful pressure tests indicating good pump action, although an attempt to increase stroke length was hindered by stuck crank pins. Final parameters established were a stroke length of 144 inches and sectional speeds of 3 SPM up and 4 SPM down.

Technical Report

Company: PetroFarah
Well: FARAH-12
Date: 29th December 2022

Overview:
Optimizing SRP after monitoring pump efficiency, fluid level and well-run time
status.

Work Done:
 Downloaded dynagraph card and analysis card.
 Applied pressure test, to determine pump efficiency.
 Ensure that casing venting gases to flare.
 Adjusted speed up & down to overcome fluid pound effect.
 Performed Srod run to check availability of increasing stroke length.

Finding
 Pump Fillage was 61% with obvious reflection of fluid pound.

 During test pressure pump raised from 85 PSI to 170 psi in 16 mins and
raised to 500 PSI 1 mins, pressure keeps hold, which determine perfect pump
action and efficiency.
 Average run time was 100 % since past 10 days.
 Trails to adjust speed with reasonable amount to adapt with well’s pound
effect, so activated sectional speed feature, up stroke running in 3 SPM &
down strokes in 4 SPM.
 Loading on gearbox was good to proceed in increasing stroke length as
shown.

 On 30 Dec. 2022, we failed to increasing stroke length, due to issue in crank

pins with its sleeve were stuck in hole 144’’. (Need special tool called
knocker)

 Perform space in 10’’ to close pump, to overcome gases reflection.

 On the other hand, well performance enhanced under previous sectional
speed adjustment, as shown.
 Pressure test raised from 90 to 150 PSI in 6 mins and then raised to 500 PSI.

Final parameters for this well:

1. Stroke length: 144’’
2. Sectional speed: 3 UP & 4 DOWN.
