I. Project Overview:
This project aims to provide participants with essential livelihood skills in cooking, dishwashing, banana
chips making, rag making, and candle making. The training will equip individuals, particularly from
underprivileged communities, with practical knowledge and skills to create products that can be used for
personal benefit or sold to generate income. This initiative seeks to foster financial independence,
entrepreneurial spirit, and sustainable living.
II. Objectives:
1. To provide participants with hands-on training in five key livelihood skills: cooking,
dishwashing, banana chips making, rag making, and candle making.
2. To empower participants to start small-scale businesses or enhance their existing skills to generate
income.
3. To promote environmental sustainability by using local and recyclable materials, particularly in
rag making and candle making.
4. To build self-confidence and entrepreneurship by teaching basic business principles, such as
pricing, marketing, and sales.
IV. Methodology/Approach:
The training will be delivered through a combination of theory and hands-on activities for the
participants, with a focus on practical application and real-world scenarios.
Training Schedule:

Cooking: Basic cooking utensils, stove, pots, pans, ingredients (rice, meat, vegetables).
Dishwashing: Dish soap-making supplies (glycerin, essential oils, borax), cleaning supplies.
Banana Chips Making: Bananas, cooking oil, seasoning, knives, frying pans, plastic bags for
packaging.
Rag Making: Old clothes or fabric scraps, sewing tools (scissors, thread, needles).
Candle Making: Wax (beeswax or paraffin), molds, wicks, dyes, fragrance oils, double boiler.
VII. Budget:
1. Skill Acquisition: Participants will acquire practical skills in cooking, dishwashing, banana chips
making, rag making, and candle making.
2. Sustainable Income: By selling the products they create, participants will be able to generate
income for themselves and their families.
3. Community Impact: The project will empower marginalized individuals, particularly women, by
improving their livelihoods and self-sufficiency.
4. Environmental Awareness: Use of recyclable materials in rag making and candle making will
promote eco-friendly practices.
Daily Feedback: After each session, the trainers will collect feedback from participants to gauge
their understanding and adjust future lessons if necessary.
Follow-up: A post-program evaluation to track participants' progress in using the skills learned to
generate income.
Impact Assessment: A survey after three months to measure the sustainability of the livelihoods
created by the participants.
