is displayed on the second line of the middle
MFD. BIT test result are recorded in the files of
BSOI-1K and recorded in the ZBN-MP1 and
EBN-1KM .
 GROUND TEST (GT): GT is activated after the
completion of BIT by pressing the “KARAT CTL” btn with
a/c engine idle and the “WOW” signal available. The
KARAT system generates a command and display it on
the “NOT READY FOR TAKE OFF” panel when the
following signals available:
EXTEND FLAPS- flaps are not in T-O position
SLATS NOT EXTENDED- LE flaps failed to extend, TE
flaps are extended;
RETRACT STEP - step is not removed at close
canopy;
CHECK WING - the wing is not in flight configuration;
SET LG LEVER TO EXTENSION;
LOCK CANOPY;
ENER SEAT 1 DEENERGISED;
ENER SEAT 2 DEENERGISED (in case of "Aircraft
emergency escape equipment in single-seat variant" signal
absence)

NO F-B-W REDUNDANCY.
 FLIGHT TEST MODE (FT) : FT mode is activated from a
moment of the “GND START” btn is pressed or upon
cancellation of the “WOW” signal.

Indication of each new message is accompanied by
flashing of the button at central signal light annunciator
in both cockpits. When there is a signal with a higher
priority, then information about it is indicated on the
multifunction display screen and the previously indicated
message with a lower priority is "queued".

Upon the signal from "Karat", the multifunction display

indicates " ∗∗∗ " mark (queue). If one or several signals
come with lower priority, then the multifunction display
indicates queue mark (∗∗∗).
Central signal light turns on when each of the new
signals comes to "queue". The "queue” signal can be
viewed by pressing the button at central signal light
annunciator (if there is no flashing). At that, the
multifunction display indicates "queued" information
(up to 10 messages). If more than 10 messages are
"queued", then the queue mark (∗∗∗) is not cleared
and the queued signals are called up by consecutive
pressing of the button at central signal light
annunciator.
If there are no "queued" signals, then consecutive
pressing of annunciator button results in clearing of
information from the screen. "A/S" mnemonic frame
indicates "M" mark (memory).
The "queued" signals are called up by consecutive
pressing of the button at central signal light
annunciator. The viewed ones are sent to "memory".
Messages are indicated on the screen according to
priority defined by "Karat" (priority of
"queued" messages is lower than that of newly
appeared and not viewed ones). If new signals come
during "queue" or "memory" viewing:
- central signal lights flash in the front and the rear
cockpits;
-the newly appeared signals are output to the
multifunction display according to the priority with the
new signal mark (flashing yellow rectangle) without
clearing of "queued" or "memory“
messages from the indicator.
When failure signals go OFF from "Karat" system
input, the message is cleared from the
multifunction display, from "queue" and "memory".
The screen frame of "queue" and "memory"
viewing is reformed (information goes up to
cleared space).
