After conducting a PEST analysis and collecting relevant data it is recommended that ANZ move it’s

banking services to an online business model.

Based on the above SWOT analysis and data collected it is recommended that ANZ consider moving

majority of its operation to an online business model.

After conducting the Porter’s 5 forces analysis and collating research and data is it recommended that ANZ

should reduce their branch presence.

Recommenda9ons

Overall, it is recommended that ANZ move its operating to an online business model. The

PEST analysis shows that 80% of customers use online banking to check their balance,

transfer money and pay bills with 71% of mobile users using their digital wallets weekly. The

above SWOT analysis also states that only 8% of customers solely rely on physical bank

branches and that online transactions have increased by 15.4% supporting the

recommendation that ANZ move to an online banking model. The Porter ’s 5 forces analysis

suggests that in order to keep up with technology movements and to keep in competition with

new emerging digital banks it is best for ANZ to reduce its presence in physical branches

which supports the recommendation above.
