HOW TO HOST STATIC WEBSITE IN AMAZON S3

Step 1

Create Bucket

a. Sign in to AWS management console and search for the service S3


b. Click on S3 and Create a bucket with globally unique name
c. ACLs enabled
d. Tick off block public access and acknowledge
e. Keep all default options and click on create bucket
Step2

Upload files in bucket

a. For this step – First need to download Zip file and extract all files
b. Click on upload and upload files – I choose drag and drop option
c. Click on upload
Step 3

Select Bucket and go to properties and scroll down

Edit on Static website hosting and make it enable

Index document – write index.html


Step 4

Copy the URL and paste it in browser


Will get error page as bucket is private by default so need to edit bucket policy to make it public

Step 5

Update bucket policy in permission

Edit on bucket policy and create bucket policy with allow public read object and save changes
Step 6

Either copy and paste URL again in browser or just Refresh the page
