Sea Transport-Syllabus
Modules Aims:
The applicant should describe the basic regulations for sea shipments,
services offered, and most current types of ships in use. He/she should be
able to prepare the document used for sea carriage.
Furthermore he/she should be able to explain the pricing of ocean freight.
Instruction Hours:
Lectures 40 hours
Short Test 1 hours
Case Study 6 hours
Final Exam 3 hours
Total 50 hours
The module end exam lasts between 60 – 90 minutes
Students must have a total score of 5.0 or higher to be eligible for FIATA
certification
Assessment Criteria:
FIATA slides and books are only available for students to photocopy (IEC
Institute can assist students with photocopying).
