36. Imagine a school courtyard where the seating area is shaped like a square, with students' [1 x 4]
desks arranged symmetrically. At the center of the courtyard, there is a rectangular stage
for events, with equal sides creating an ideal performance space. Adjacent to the stage is a
trapezium-shaped garden where students can sit and relax during breaks. Surrounding the
entire courtyard is a walking path shaped like a parallelogram, offering a neat and
functional design. The layout ensures efficient use of space and fosters a welcoming
environment for both learning and recreation.
(i) If the stage at the center of the courtyard has dimensions 6 m by 8 m, what is the
perimeter of the rectangular stage?
a) 28 m b) 30 m c) 24 m d) 32 m

37. In a small town, a bakery produces a variety of cakes every day. The head baker, Mr. [1 x 4]
Sharma, uses rational numbers to manage his recipes and daily operations. For one of his
popular cakes, the recipe requires 3/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of milk, and 1/3 cup of
butter. He plans to bake 12 cakes in one day and needs to scale the ingredients
proportionally. Additionally, he decides to divide the total profit of ₹9600 equally among
his 8 staff members.

38. A factory produces wooden boxes every day. The cost of manufacturing these boxes (in [1 x 4]
rupees) is represented by the expression 4x² + 12x + 8, where xxx is the number of boxes
produced. The factory manager decides to calculate the cost per box by factorizing the
expression. Additionally, the profit made on selling the boxes is represented by x² + 8x +
