A NATIONAL COMPETITON
15th OUTSTANDING YOUNG Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) – Mumbai Regional Center
(MRC) introduced for the first time, an event known as Outstanding Young Chemical
CHEMICAL ENGINEER AWARDS Engineers Award (OYCE) in the year 2005 to broaden the horizons of thought and its
2023 potential innovative candidacy of the developing crop of Chemical Engineers. The
prizes for the competition have been sponsored by Bhumistha for UG Category /
ORGANISED BY thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions for Industry Working Professional Category. After
the immense success of the earlier ventures, IIChE-MRC is pleased to announce the
15th annual session of OYCE. The national event unfolds this year 2023 at Indian
Institute of Technology Bombay. The event comprises of Technical Paper
Presentations.

Indian Institute Of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) is a confluence of streams of
professionals from academia, research and industry. It provides an appropriate

IIChE-MRC
IIChE – MRC is one of the 33 regional centers of the Indian Institute of
Chemical Engineers (IIChE), the apex of professional society of Chemical Engineers
in India. The Mumbai Regional Center (MRC) is the biggest of them all with nearly
13.3% of the total all India membership of almost 13250 engineers.

MUMBAI REGIONAL CENTRE (IIChE-MRC) The Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Bombay was established in 1958. The
Department of Chemical Engineering is one of the largest departments in the Institute

include several scales from molecular to process to the plant. This has brought forth
inclusion of modern biology, computational chemistry, complex fluids and

The Chemical Engineering Association (ChEA), established in 1965, is an association

works on spreading knowledge and awareness in the field of chemical engineering
