Electrotile - Quekry Mind
INTRODUCTION
The concept of using electro tiles to harness energy from human movement is
an innovative approach to addressing energy inefficiency. By replacing
traditional tiles with electro tiles, the mechanical energy generated from
footsteps can be converted into electrical energy. This system can be
particularly useful in densely populated areas like India and China, where large
numbers of people move daily through places like roads, railway stations, bus
stands, temples, and other crowded spaces.
The idea is that each footstep on the electro tiles generates a small amount of
energy. This energy is typically in the form of low-voltage DC power, which can
be used to power low-energy devices or contribute to the local energy grid. For
example, a person walking on the tiles could generate enough energy to power
lighting systems or charge small devices. The idea of combining this energy
generation with activities such as exercise on treadmills or in gyms is also a fun
and health-conscious way to generate power.

CONCLUSION
Someone steps or jumps on the tile.
The downward force pushes a rod/lever/gear that rotates the stepper motor’s
shaft. As the shaft spins, the stepper motor generates an electrical output (AC).
The output is wired to a circuit that may rectify, regulate, or store the
generated energy. The tile is then reset (springs push it back up), ready for the
next footstep.
In short, this box is converting mechanical energy (your jump or step) into
electrical energy via the internal stepper motor acting as a generator. The
springs and frame keep everything aligned and make the platform sturdy.
